Lizardkit, Breezekit, Olivekit, Falconkit, and Cobrakit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar was quite a bit more enthusiastic than he had been for a good, long while. Sure, there were some issues going on in the clan at the moment, but it was always important to celebrate blessings as they were given. It wasn't every day a father watched his kits get apprenticed. Although memories of his first litter still tested his emotions, the leader could already see the difference between this litter and the last. He hoped they grew up to be even greater than himself one day. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Leopardstar called for ameeting from the top of the Jaggedrock, tail flicking now and then.

Falconkit strutted out of the nursery, his chest puffed out. Although he attempted to look impressive, he couldn't hide the huge smile on his face.

Breezekit plodded out with a sense of hesitance, his chest giving a stir of excitement as he plodded out. So far, Breezekit had been a kit of few words, only speaking out of irritation or impatience. Breezekit sat where he was told to sit by his mother a couple sunrises ago, he had been nervous about his apprentice ceremony and asked his mother to run him through it. He was glad she did, he bet he was going to do everything right compared to his siblings who would just screw up.

Blazeflight heard the call for a clan meeting, hurriedly rushing over to the group of cats gathering under the Jaggedrock. She was almost certain this would be a ceremony, as Leaopardstar had kits in the nursery that were just about old enough to become apprentices. 'Maybe today I will get another apprentice? Who knows,' She thought to her self.

Olivekit padded out of the nursery at her father's call, her sleek brown fur perfectly groomed. Smiling happily, she made her way to sit next to her brothers, unable to keep her excited paws still. She wanted to squeal with excitement and babble about everything she'd do as an apprentice, but she refrained. She wasn't a kit anymore, and she had to try and act more mature. Nodding slightly to herself, she focused solely on keeping her anxious paws still and keeping her emerald green gaze on her father.

The spotting image of his father stepped from the nursery behind his brothers and sister. The runt of the litter was just slightly smaller then his siblings but he groomed his fur and say down green eyes looking to his father. Cobrakit smiled some excited.

Lizardkit plodded along with his siblings, not wanting to be the center of attention. His gray-gold fur was on end. Did he have to become an apprentice? Couldn't he stay in the nursery a bit longer?

He was proud to see that they were ready, but Leopardstar's face stayed calm and serious. Now was an important ritual that begun their path to warriorhood, so he wasn't going to sully it by beaming like an overly-attached mother. "Lizardkit, Breezekit, Olivekit, Falconkit, and Cobrakit, step forward." He meowed, glancing over each of them briefly in turn and letting them have time to react. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior names, you shall be called Lizardpaw, Breezepaw, Olivepaw, Falconpaw and Cobrapaw. Lizardpaw, I will mentor you; Breezepaw, Littlebrook will be your mentor; Olivepaw, Silentstorm will be your mentor; Tawnypool will mentor Cobrapaw and Blazeflight will mentor Falconpaw. I know each of these warriors will train you to the best of their ability." He finished, nodding to the warriors, and then jumped down to complete the ceremony by touching noses with Lizardpaw.

Blazeflight walked up to Falconpaw, touching noses with him gently."I'll train you the best I can." She said softly, smiling.

Falconpaw eyed Lizardpaw jealously as he touched noses with their father, but he swelled with pride as he was approached by Blazeflight. A wide grin nearly split his head in two as he touched his nose with hers, but he quickly remembered himself and puffed out his chest, forcing his face into a solemn expression.

Lizardpaw had to keep himself from squeaking loudly. Oh no, not only did he have to leave the nursery, but he also was his father's apprentice! He was so worried. Would he have to work extra hard because Leopardstar was his mentor? Did the apprentices of leaders have to do things that other apprentices didn't, like fight foxes and badgers? His mind whirled with all of the bad possibilities.
