Fish for Brains! [Topic 3]

Nutpaw dropped the fish she had caught in the prey pile. The land was too burned for land hunting, and she preferred fishing anyways. She couldn't help but look across the river and see ThunderClan all camped out at sunningrocks. She knew that it was the right thing to let them stay there, but still, it was RiverClan territory. There should probably be some sort of patrol to make sure they weren't going any father than necessary. She waited for more warriors or apprentices to return so she could share her idea.

Leafpaw noticed a cat staring at them. His fur ruffled slightly- despite sharing the same territory, he didn't trust Riverclan. Perhaps this cat was spying on them or something. He dropped his head and started picking his way to the river.

Owlpaw didn't notice the cat staring at them but she saw Leafpaw making his way to the river. Hurrying to her paws she ran over to Leafpaw, "What are you doing? I don't think we should leave our spot.." She wanted to trust Riverclan but they were another clan after all they needed to be careful of where they go..

"I'm just going to go talk to her." He lied. "C'mon, you can come! It'll be fun."
He nudged her with his head, brushing past her. "If we do get in a fight, I'll take the blame." He mewed.

She followed her gaze to what looked about a apprentice staring at them. It must be a Riverclan cat since she has never seen that cat before. "Oh really? I would love to talk to a Riverclan cat! How do they swim? That would be very interesting to learn!" Then she grew quiet hurried to his side, "What? Fighting? No, no fighting Leafpaw! We are guest in their home we should act like it!"

"...Right." He muttered. "But if she crosses any lines, I'm gonna go over there and teach her a lesson."

"Why do you need to? There is no reason to teach her a lesson. Just leave it. After all if we anger them they might kick us out then what? We starve in our territory just because you wanted to teach apprentice a lesson?" She mumbled looking over at the apprentice. She did wanted to talk to her though. "Just follow my lead." She hissed under her breath.

Leafpaw rolled his eyes. "Let's just get over there and talk to her already."

Ignoring his sarcasm he hurried across to where the apprentice was. "I can't wait to talk to a Riverclan cat! What do you think fish taste like? Maybe we can ask her to show us how to hunt for fish?"

Nutpaw noticed two ThunderClan apprentices walking towards the river, whispering to each other, and sneaking looks at her. This couldn't mean anything good. She padded a little closer to the river narrowing her eyes at them suspiciously so they knew she saw them. She looked around camp again. She should probably have a warrior or two with her before she went investigating strange ThunderClan behaviour.

OOC: Let's wait until the people who rp the warriors post before they start fighting.

Blizzardshine padded towards the apprentices who had wandered far enough from the rest of the clan, her expression calm even if her eyes still held a troubled look after all what had happened to her and the clan lately. She wasn’t really going to tell them anything at the time, even she needed to walk away from the cramped space that was their temporary camp at Sunningrocks from time to time…and in all honesty this area was still considered as part of Sunningrocks, so she didn’t feel like they had done anything wrong until the voice of the RiverClan warrior caused her to rise her guard “Calm down, it’s not like any of us wanted to bother you, but with the whole clan temporarily taking shelter at the Sunningrocks it is near to impossible for us to not cross paths constantly on this part of the territory” She could understand the RiverClan cats’ behavior towards ThunderClan being in their territory, but it wasn’t like they had any kind of choice to begin with. She wasn’t trying to sound rude and even less to start a fight, but she just hoped they would understand this.

Sootwhisper silently walked towards the Sunningrocks right behind Stormheart, his emotionless expression landing on the ThunderClan cats and then on Nutpaw. As always on these kinds of situations, he decided to sit down and start grooming his pelt without a care in the world, these ThunderClanners would eventually leave anyways, so as long as they didn’t try anything funny or try to take over Sunningrocks he really wasn’t interested on what was going on. Once he was done grooming he just watched as they spoke, the only sign of life he gave was the occasional flick of his right ear.

Nutpaw sighed and inwardly groaned at the cats arguing. This was exactly what she hoped wouldn't happen, though she knew it most likely would. "It seems like we are stuck in some sort of conversation now, so let's try to make it a peaceful," Nutpaw suggested, hoping no more arguing would have to take place. No matter how arrogant those cats were, she didn't want to seem just that way to them. She took a few steps closer, so she was as close as she could be without wading through the shallow part of the river.

Thistleblaze followed behind her mate, her amber eyes narrowed in the direction of the Thunderclan cats. She didn't sit like her mate, rather she stood trying to look somewhat threatening despite her small size. She was going to wait for them to leave. They weren't touching their territory under her watch.
