Knowing the Territory [Closed - Patrol]

Storm that Lights the Clouds lingered at the edge of the SkyClan camp, close to the entrance of the camp as he spared an uneasy look around. Despite all of the time here in the SkyClan camp, he still didn't trust them. He had gotten better at learning their names and their customs but it was still so strange. And he had barely left the camp but he was tired of being useless. There was nothing for him to do - there was nothing for him to protect. He wasn't a Cave-Guard anymore but he certainly wasn't a warrior. He didn't know how to hunt like these...SkyClan cats. He had never learned how to hunt and it felt far to late to learn now. He felt...Out of place and he struggled with the feeling of what to do. He took a deep breath, his ears falling flat as he straighten up from where he had been sulking as he spared a helpless glance around the camp. Perhaps he could be of aid if he knew the territory that was now his home - but he wasn't going to step paw out their by himself. And so he waited, wishing for the first time that one of these SkyClan warriors would come up and talk to him.

Rosepaw huddled near the apprentice den blinking around camp for something to do when she spotted one of the former tribe members. She hasn`t meet alot of them but since they are in the same group as Night she considered anyone of them friends to her. As she padded towards him she beamed at him, "Hello, Storm. What's wrong?"

Dandelionpaw waltzed over to Rosepaw, proud to finally be a 'paw. She was more concerned with chatting with her friend until she saw Storm that Lights the Clouds. "Whoa! Who is this?" she said, ducking behind Rosepaw, who was still older and larger than the fluffball Dandelionpaw.

Moonlight padded towards the growing group of cats with a smile on her muzzle "She's Storm that Light the Clouds, one of the tribe cats that joined us during the past gathering" She purred softly at Dandelionpaw. She was more than happy to have all these new cats around, it surely made things way more interesting. And if that wasn’t enough the many new stories they had to tell about the territories beyond the clans were quite interesting an exciting at times “Why are you here by yourself though?” She sat calmly as she waited for her to reply.

Not far away Hawkstripe was looking at them, taking a deep breath as he tried to calm himself down. He simply couldn’t bring himself to like these cats even if he did try, but knowing that StarClan brought them here…it simply didn’t made him feel comfortable around them. Many times before those starry pelted cats that claimed the skies above them as their own had crushed his hopes and dreams, taking away all the good things he once had. Did they enjoy watching him suffer? Was that it?

Taking a deep breath and shaking those thoughts away, he stood up and padded towards the group, his well-practiced smile and kind expression as a perfect mask on his face, impossible to tell apart from the real emotions that he faked so well “Hey, is…everything ok?”

Dandelionpaw attempted to hide even better behind Rosepaw, failing miserably due to her fluffiness. "Eek, warriors!" she said in a harsh whisper.

Despite being apprenticed, she still didn't know all that much about the Clan. She'd been in the nursery for most of her life until Rosepaw came around and they began sneaking out. That's probably why she hardly knew this stranger to the Clans or Moonlight or Hawkstrike. She only knew for certain Crowstar, the cat that had taken her under his wing, Rippedsky, her friend, Rosepaw, and her sibling, Bramblekit. Bramblekit! She hadn't seen Bramblekit in a while and wondered if Bramblekit was ok...

Storm that Lights the Clouds found himself frowning as a young To-be...No, apprentice came strolling up. His gaze was sharp as she questioned what was wrong, knowing that the apprentice...Rosepaw he believed, would be no help to his plans of getting to learn the territory. He opened his mouth, ready to give a sharp and harsh retort in an effort to push the much younger cat away when another apprentice came up to them. His ears fell flat with an annoyed sigh as the the bundle of fluff questioned who he was. At least this question caught the attention of a warrior and Storm's ears perked up as silver tabby came padding up to him. But when another warrior came up, Storm found himself feeling rather...Cornered, overwhelmed as his gaze shifted uneasily between the four cats who had moved up to him. But he pushed down the feelings as he shook his head, taking in a deep breath as he steadied himself before looking up at the female warrior - Moonlight and ignored the other three simply for his own sanity.

"In my time in SkyClan, I have barely left the camp. I am of no use hunting as I was not trained in it but I don't want to be a burden. So...I was wondering if perhaps you would be willing to show me your...Territory. I understand that you share borders with the other Clans and its frowned upon to cross them but...I do not know where these borders lay or even what you count as your land." He paused as he glanced between the group, his ears slicking back as a displeased rumble rose in his throat. "I...Suppose you would call it a...Patrol?" he questioned, trying to remember if he was getting the word right. But as his eyes shifted uneasily at the cats around him, he released with almost a flicker of fear that they would want to join. He...He was not keen on that but he supposed it would be up to them.

"A patrol...?" Dandelionpaw whispered quietly to Rosepaw. "Do you want to go with me? I... I wanna go, but I don't know him very well..."

Rosepaw was annoyed and didn`t like this tom already she growled a bit under her breath as she whispered, "I would love to Dandelionpaw but unfortunately we can`t." She glared at the tom trying to keep in her anger. This tom properly has pulled the record for how fast she made her angry at some cat.

Moonlight smiled at Storm that Lights the Clouds and nodded “A territory patrol or tour patrol, yes. Usually only new apprentices get these kind of patrol or warriors make it when something relevant happened in it, so I’m not surprised you aren’t familiarized with the term” She did her best to explain the terminology of this specific patrol to the Tribe cat so she would know when to use it later on “I’ll gladly lead so you get to know this territory as well as any warrior from SkyClan, this is your home now after all. If you have any questions or want to know anything about the territory I don’t mention for some reason feel free to speak up” She purred before looking down at the apprentices “The same goes for you two, as I don’t know if you already took this patrol with your mentors”.

After that, she padded towards the exit of camp, looking back and making a quick signal for them to follow through flicking her tail before finally stepping outside.

Hawkstrike felt slightly aggravated when the Tribe cat decided to ignore him and only focus on Moonlight. He could understand that she was the oldest and most experienced warrior of the group around her, but that was simply rude. He took a deep breath and tried to get brush it off the best he could, not wanting to make evident his dislike for Tribe cats.

The chocolate warrior, however, was rather pleased when the territory patrol was mentioned. To keep up his façade of an old returning member he had been forced to keep his little knowledge of the territory as a secret, but now he finally would be able to get to know it all without blowing his cover.

Dandelionpaw followed Moonlight into SkyClan territory. Being the deputy's apprentice, she'd actually hardly gotten to see much of it, since Rippedsky was usually too busy to properly show her around. She'd only seen it once, and that was on her apprentice ceremony day. Although... she wouldn't admit it, she'd also seen around it by sneaking out with Rosepaw. But that was during her kithood. Now she was an apprentice and she couldn't be caught doing it now.

Rosepaw sat quietly as the two older cats chatted not really paying attention at all. But when she saw Moonlight look at her she jumped finally paying attention nodding. She followed close to Dandelionpaw her eyes traveling around her seeing if she can recognize anything familiar. Her mentor, Lilyheart, hasn't had much time to mentor her which she was fine with. She loved learning from the older cats but it was more fun exploring the territory herself or with somebody else and thanks to her moody sibling she has a way of doing just that without getting caught. But she realized she has never been this direction before her eyes traveled all around them.

Storm frowned as he struggled to follow what Moonlight was saying, getting to his paws as he started to follow after her with the rest of this little...Patrol. At the idea of asking questions, he paused as he mused on what to say, before blinking. "The Clans each have their own territory, no?" he questioned as he glanced around at the group, trying to read each of them as he continued on with his question. "Why do the Clans not like each other? Would it not be easier to be one?" It was something that confused him when he had first heard about the Clans always fighting. Back in the mountains, it was always unite or die. There was no fighting between the cats because otherwise there was only death. But while that wasn't much of an issue here, it still confused him. Fighting seem pointless - mostly when there seemed little reason to fight over food as each Clan seemed to have enough.

"No way am I uniting with ThunderClan of all Clans! Or ShadowClan, they eat FROGS!" Dandelionpaw exclaimed. "WindClan is all high-and-mighty and RiverClan is way too lazy for their own good! We could never, ever unite with cats like those," she explained.
