You just got roasted! (For those in the plot)

"And you wonder why I stay with my housefolk. You are literally saying how bad your life is, and you still choose it. You're the ones calling me stupid, remember," Annabelle retorted irratably. The clan cats confused her so much, she wondered why she even bothered trying to understand. "You know what? It has been terribly rude of you not to say your names, so I will first. My name is Annabelle, yours?"

Pansyface rolled her eyes as she watched Rosepaw and Hollyshard begin to yowl insults at this young kittypet, who was hurling them right back their way. Though she felt the fur along her spine bristle at the kittypet's mocking of clan life, she managed to control her temper and just watched as the argument ensued. Secretly though, she couldn't help but feel amused. Here were her two clanmates, smart and honorable cats, having a yelling match with a spoiled, annoying, full of herself kittypet; what a sight! Deciding to step in before it went too far, the gray and white warrior stepped forward and meowed; "When you all are done shouting and making fools of yourselves, can we get back to our patrol? We were sent to chase off kittypets, not to entertain their petty desires." It was obvious that the snobbish she-cat had wanted to start a disagreement, and Pansyface wasn't about to give Annabelle that satisfaction.

"Petty desires? You think I want to argue with a bunch of brats? And not to start this up again, but is it with you cats wanting to chase me? Are you dogs?" Annabelle said. She had to say though, this white and grey she-cat was the one most on her nerves. She didn't fight back or listen to her, which was something no one else really did with her. She tried to look and sound confident by throwing insults back, trying to hide her unease.

With an annoyed huff, Pansyface rolled her murky green eyes and let out a calmly demeaning growl. "I'll make it simple for you; would you want a petty, annoying little brat coming into your home and insulting you? Well, it's the same for us as well sweetheart." With an arrogant sneer, the bi-color she-cat turned away and flicked her tail, wanting to get the patrol out of there and back to doing their job as soon as possible. Inwardly though, she was a bit giddy; That was a good one! Oh, wait 'till I tell Addergaze about that insult! She'll be quite impressed, if I do say so myself!

Rosepaw sat silently away from the two cats a snicker dancing on her face as she tried holding in a laugh. Did she look this funny when she was auguring with Annabelle? She looked completely flustered as Panseyface wasn't being provoked by her big mouth. While Panseyface just looked more annoyed then ever.
Her eyes widened at Panseyface comment she stood up as she saw her tail beckoning for her. She beamed up to the warrior, "That was a good one, Panseyface! I will have to remember that for the future!" Then she giggled at Annabelle, "I guess this is goodbye. I would say it was nice to meet you.." She brought her tail under her face to show emphasized her thinking. "But it wasn't."

Annabelle was stunned by Pansyface's insult. She sat there, having no idea what to say, until a few seconds after the smaller cat's words. Then, she mustered up enough of a reply to speak. "Well, I didn't track dirt and bugs in here like you would do my house! But I'll leave, I see your point. And I don't really if you had a nice time meeting me, because I didn't have a nice time meeting you." Annabelle leaped of the tree branch and started running towards her twoleg's den as fast as her legs would carry her.
