Apprentice Patrol (Open for apprentices)

Rowanpaw ducked into the apprentice den. It was mid-afternoon and he was bored. "Anyone wanna go on a hunting patrol?" He mewed casually. "I was thinking we'd sneak out and try hunting by ourselves for once- no warriors."
He sat down, wrapping his handsome reddish tail around his paws delicately while he waited for an answer eagerly. The tom puffed his chest out. These were the only cats in his life, and he wanted to fit in. Shadowclan warriors were supposed to be rough and bloodthirsty and cool.

Echopaw was sitting around bored yawning loudly, maybe she would take a quick nap, she thought. When Rowanpaw ducked in, "Yes! No warriors? Should we really be getting into trouble?" Even though was just bored out of her mind, she did not think it was a good idea to sneak out on a patrol with no warriors. At the same time if they came back with alot of prey maybe the others would see they are suitable apprentices and on the way to become great warriors. Conflicted she got to her paws to stand next to him, "I`ll go..but I don`t like it." Was all she said. She rolled her eyes as he puffed out his chest making him appear brave, or whatever he thinks he looks.

Rowanpaw grinned widely as Echopaw agreed to go. He leapt to his feet, tripping over his large paws. "Um, does anyone else want to go?" He mewed into the den awkwardly. He felt painfully aware of every way he was messing up- Why did his tail have to twitch now? And his fur was completely mussed up.
Despite having lived with the clan for as long as he could remember, he had always felt different because he was rouge-born. He didn't have a birthmother to talk to or a father to admire like the others. That only made him strive to impress them more.
