Crow's Patrol [Open to Crowstar's Apprentices]

Crowstar sat at the entrance of camp waiting on Batpaw and maybe Rippedpaw. He wasn't sure if his former Windclan apprentice would be coming with them. He didn't require it of the apprentice just yet, but maybe Rippedpaw would want to get a jump on learning how Skyclan did things. He would need to practice climbing trees with both of them as well as check the borders. This made him remember why he didn't take apprentices too often, for he didn't have too much time to do a lot of things with them, but he was fine with these two.

Batpaw was just leaving the apprentice den. The black furred backward bent eared she cat saw her mentor and scampered over quickly.

Rippedpaw saw Batpaw leave the den for what he assumed would be training and followed after her. Apparently, he was right. Crowstar was near the entrance and looked like he was waiting for something. That's probably my cue... The black and white apprentice padded over and greeted his mentor with a respectful nod. It would be there first time out together and he couldn't wait to take in all the leader had to share. Rippedpaw was pretty much ready to be a warrior. If he hadn't left Windclan, Ashstar would have probably made him a warrior after the battle. But this was a whole new place and he was eager to learn it's ways. Becoming a warrior is something to be earned He thoughrt, shaking away the desire to gain his warrior name.

Crowstar was surprised to see Rippedpaw but it wasn't apparent on the leader's face. For he didn't express his emotions very well. "Good morning you two. Today we are going to check the Thunderclan border and work on climbing trees a little bit." He informed the two apprentices. "Are you ready to go?"

"Yes, Crowstar," Rippedpaw meowed, trying to hide the slight uneasiness in his voice. Climbing trees? Back in the moorlands we barely had trees! Let alone climbed them! It would certainly be something different. But the new Skyclan apprentice was ready for a challenge. Nothing had stopped him back in Windclan training or even in battle. Except for the Riverclan deputy... The tom shook his head to clear the thought and reminded himself that he was the age of a warrior. And warriors do not back down from challenges.

Ic: Batpaw flicked her ear at the question. Though she didn't really answer right away she flicked her black furred tail and smiled once she registered what Crowstar and mewed"yeah ! I'm ready!"

"Come on lets go." The leader said standing, and walking out of the camp. He knew where to go for some shorter trees. It was closer to the Thunderclan border, but they should be fine there. Just enough inside the territory. "What do you two smell?"

Batpaw was quiet for a moment as she sniffed the air briefly before she fell quiet trying to identify what she smelt."I think I smell um...."she trailed off after a moment

Rippedpaw finished for her, "Thunderclan. Nothing fresh. And... squirrel". The scents were dulled given the snow, but he could still barely pick them up. Having been to a couple gatherings, it was easy to recognize the scents of other clans. He'd made sure to remember them.

Crowstar nodded to Rippedpaw. He was correct in that assessment. "It's okay Batpaw, you are new to this you will get it." He motioned the she-cat closer. "Right here you can smell the squirrel a little better. The Thunderclan scent is faint but we will find it stronger somewhere else. Just focus on the squirrel right now." The leader said to Batpaw.

Batpaw blinked and slowly nodded. She hoped she could have gotten it before Rippedpaw but slowly she nodded and padded closer to her mentor. She listened as he spoke before she nodded again"alright"she mewed keeping mind of the scent of squirrel.

Rippedpaw took a step back, making sure Batpaw was in front. The tom was old enough to be a warrior and had far more experience. He didn't want to get in the way of the other apprentice's training.

"Alright. Let's move closer to the border, and then we will work on climbing trees." The leader said. Once they were in the trees he would ask Batpaw again what she smelled and she would be able to find a scent. He knew she would be able to. She had some good potential.

"Alright"Batpaw mewed looking to Crowstar ready to go. She quietly followed him and Rippedpaw to the border.
