Splashkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting," Fishstar yowled.

Splashkit eagerly hurried from the nursery, sleek fur groomed showing signs of meticulous grooming, and quickly sat down beneath the willow branch that Fishstar was seated on.

"Splashkit, please step forward," the leader meowed.

Eyes sparkling with delight, Splashkit eagerly scrambled to her paws and scuttled forwards at Fishstar's beckon- it was finally time for her to become an apprentice!

"You have reached the age of six moons and are now ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth, until you recieve your warrior name, you shall be known as Splashpaw." The leader paused for a moment to think of a mentor. There were so many new apprentices.. Great StarClan. "Fallowstripe will be your mentor."

"Fallowstripe!" Splashpaw echoed in delight, vaguely recalling the pale tabby she-cat- she didn't know the she-cat very well, but it was exciting nonetheless. Swinging around, she began to eagerly search for her newly-named mentor, eyes sparkling with excitement.

The she-cat with a pelt the hue of untilled earth emerged from the crowd. "Glad to be training with you!" mewed Fallowstripe with delight, touching her nose lightly to Splashpaw's. "Training tomorrow, okay?" she purred. Her method was to get the new apprentice used to the training.
