Toadpaw was hunched over a piece of fresh-kill. He was a newly-appointed apprentice, and he'd yet to go on a hunting patrol. The taste of blood and bones crunching in his teeth didn't satisfy his hunger to hunt, either. It would be soon enough, though. He swiped his tongue along his lips, cleaning his face of blood. The tom looked up at the sky. Almost sundown. His training would start tomorrow.

From the corner of his eye, he spotted a tail flicking behind a rock. Morningfog! He dropped down into a crouch, green eye widening. He'd give her the scare of her life! He leapt over the rock, crashing into the fur below. "Got you!" he rumbled, purring in triumph. As he opened his eye, his expression faded. "You're not Morningfog," Toadpaw muttered to the figure beneath him.

Jasminepaw was exhausted, she had just finished learning how to swim with her mentor. It honestly took her a lot of courage just to put a paw in the water for just a few seconds. The cat let out a sigh of relief when she sat down, she sure was tired. She rested her back on the rock and glanced at the fresh-kill she brought to eat. When she felt someone leap on top of her Jasminepaw let out a yelp of surprise. She figured that it was Toadpaw to do this..

She bucked him off her and let out a scoff and a annoyed growl.. "Of corse not, you mousebrain!" Her tail flicked with annoyance, she knew that he recently was made a apprentice although she didn't mention anything about it. She glanced over to her prey only to see that Toadpaw has crushed it. Her fur bristled and she yelled at Toadpaw "Look! You Squished my prey!"
