time for a random patrol, woot [open]

Stormheart stretched as he existed the warrior's den, grunting contently as his joints cracked after such a long night. The sun, for the first time in a couple of rain-plagued days, had finally broken through the clouds. It was a fine day - perfect to take a bundle of apprentices out to survey the territory.

Trotting over to the apprentice den, the grey tom hollered, "Alright, you sleepy fuzzballs! Time to go on a border patrol!"

Cinderpaw was fast asleep, dreaming about swimming through a lake when something yelled at her. Waking up with a jolt she saw Stormheart at the mouth of their den. Signing she yawned and stretched awake, still not used to waking up this early.

"Coming, Stormheart." She blinked, getting to her paws.

Batpaw woke up surprised by that call of the warrior. A small growl escaped from his chest as he stood up, but he was quite excited to go in his first patrol.
The dark tom ran to the entrance and stopped close to the other apprentice. He noded quietly to her as a greeting and glanced the warrior with serious green eyes. "Ready to go."

Molepaw's head lifted up from his black-and-white paws immediately as he heard a familiar holler coming from the entrance to he apprentice den. The apprentice blinked a couple of times to chase the sleep away from his gaze so he could see properly. He groggily looked over at Stormheart and tried his best to hold back a yawn that ended up escaping from his open jaws anyway.
"On my way, Stormheart." The RiverClan tom said with a tired voice.

Jaypaw was stretching his paws when he heard the call of Stormheart. The apprentice, who was used to wake up early since he had been an apprentice for a long time, smiled and padded out of the den to meet the warrior and the other apprentices. "Can I join?" He asked to the older cat, kindly.

"I'm coming! Wait for me!" Weaselpaw yowled, jumping to his feet. At the warrior's call, he had snapped awake instantly. The young apprentice hadn't been out of camp as much as he should have been due to his constant hyper personality. He raced towards the entrance of the den, brushing past the other apprentices and ending up at Stormheart's side. An apologetic smile crossed his face as he glanced back at his sleepy denmates. The tabby tom had simply been to excited to think about accidentally knocking into the others. Thinking about leaving camp once more, he bounced excitedly next to the warrior.

Stormheart's whiskers quivered in amusement as the apprentices slowly convened before him. Some were still a bit groggy. Some looked as if they'd been dying of anticipation for hours already.

He turned his attention to Jaypaw first. "Of course you can join. I'm sure none of your mentors will mind if you come with me.." A teasing glint flickered in his eyes. ".. After all, I am the best mentor around."

He chuckled, brushing his joke off with a flick of his tail, and then looked to the camp's exit. "I'm gonna show you all around the borders today. Even if you've seen them already, one can never be too careful about them - especially along the moors." The hefty tom rose to his paws, gave his pelt one last shake, and then started towards the exit. "Alright, let's go. Maybe I'll even teach you guys a neat fishing trick I concocted the other day, if we stop by the riverbank."

The dark furred apprentice and with green eyes followed Stormheart, serious. He had already seen the borders of the clans but the warrior was right about being careful.
Even if the other apprentices were with him, he didn't have the mood to talk to them. Batpaw often was annoyed by other cats of his age and he only had a few friends to talk to.

The calico slowly followed the warrior eyeing all the other apprentices. Now fully awake she is now aware what she has agreed to.She hates being around so many cats, there was so many chances that she could make a fool out of herself. Liking it so much better just one on one.

Stormheart was talking the truth though, they need to patrol the borders she has to do this for her clan! Even if that means being extra careful about every pawstep.

Jaypaw smiled with flicking whiskers when Stormheart let him join the patrol full of excited apprentices. The tabby gray tom followed the warrior to the exit of the camp, ready to see the world. He didn't like so much being around so many cats because of his natural shyness. However, he decided not to think about it and just concentrate about the patrol.
He reached the left side of the warrior that was guiding them and looked at him, curious. "Why we should be more careful in the moors?" He remembered that in that place lived the Windclan cats that in the last gathering he met. Are they so mean against other clans? he asked to himself.

Molepaw had not imagined that his first time seeing the borders would be with so many other cats, but he was fine with their company. While he wasn't going to be the one who was going to start a conversation, he'd be perfectly fine with continuing one on. He hadn't been at the last Gathering, and he had no clue about the Clan that lived on the moors, and how WindClan and RiverClan weren't exactly "friendly" with each other at the moment. However, he did know that he had to be careful around any border. How he hated being oblivious.

Weaselpaw nodded fiercely in agreement with the warrior's words. For a brief moment he tried to contain his excitement and act like an older cat, but he was far too hyper to do so. He bolted in front of the others, turning around occasionally to tell them to 'hurry up' or for the hundredth time chatter on about how amazing things were outside of camp. Stormheart had mentioned fishing too. It was one of his favorite activities. So far, the young tabby had found one skill in hunting, mostly fishing. It was the only time in which he was able to focus due to his determination to be the best he could for his clan.

Waterpaw stood and stretched. "Can I come?" she mewed gingerly, trotting up to the other apprentices. The sun warmed her back and she purred.
