Nectar sticks to Stone (For Wavedream623)

OOC: Honestly, if your cat's known for being fast, then he should win because Stonepaw is strong & powerful in his attacks but not very quick in his movements. But if not, then I'm thinking Stonepaw should possibly take the first victory? Nectarpaw's injured, but it would be cool to see him win despite being weakened:3 Idk I'm feeling so indecisive, I'll leave it up to you!XD

Seeing that his opponent had been weakened to a decent amount now, Stonepaw's confidence rose. He had a chance to win. Uplifted, the tom worked harder to get back on his paws, ready to deliver what the gray apprentice thought could be the final blow.

OOC: Stonepaw can win. Nectarpaw is known for trying to be known for being really fast, but it is a stretch to say he actually is.

IC: Nectarpaw nearly pushed  his paws onto Stonepaw's stomach hard, but then hesitated. His hesitation threw off his balance, and he saw that Stonepaw had the advantage now. Stonepaw could easily attack him before he could do anything, but Nectarpaw tried anyway. He crouched  and then leaped for Stonepaw's back, though it was unlikely he would land or even get into the air before Stonepaw made his next move.

OOC: Ok, sounds good!

Back on his feet, Stonepaw faced Nectarpaw like they did in the beginning, circling each other a few fox-tails lengths away as they each eyed their opponents for a chance to strike. When Nectarpaw attacked to land a blow on his back, the large gray apprentice reacted at the clear move, darting to the side. His shoulders barely missed getting snagged by his opponent's paws, feeling the air disturb his gray fur as he narrowly dodged.

Panting, he swung around, switching from defending to attack mode in that movement. His paws hit their mark, jabbing Nectarpaw's wounded shoulder lightly to distract him before landing a series of blows on the rest of the apprentice's body. He pounced, letting his opponent feel the entire weight of his large form as he pinned Nectarpaw down. "Do you give up?" He asked, yellow eyes scanning his friend's face in concern and preparation for a possible surprise attack.

"Fine. You're good at this!" Nectarpaw had tried to wiggle free, but it was soon obvious that he had been beaten. He sat up and licked his shoulder, relieved that it hadn't started bleeding. He should probably check with the medicine cat later, but for now he ignored it. He was genuinely proud of Stonepaw, and how powerful his movements were. He wasn't the fastest, but he was strong.
"So, do you want to head back to camp now?"

"Sure," Stonepaw replied. The gray tom looked at Nectarpaw's shoulder with worry, hoping his friend didn't get too roughed up from their battle training. "Did I hurt you?"

'Not badly. It isn't bleeding or anything, and I'll be fine. I might ask Beetlewing to take a look at it when we return to camp," Nectarpaw replied, not really concerned about his shoulder. He quickly grabbed his rabbit from where he had hidden it, and waited for Stonepaw to do the same. He couldn't wait to victoriously lay it upon the fresh-kill pile.

Stonepaw's shoudlers visibly relaxed with relief at his friend's statement. "Thank Starclan," he meowed happily. Following Nectarpaw to the clump of heather where they had buried their catch earlier that day, the gray tom dug up his rabbit and gently grasped it with his jaw to carry back to camp.

Looking at Nectarpaw, his pelt warmed with contentment. He was glad to finally have a friend.
