Sparkpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" the RiverClan leader called from up on her announcement perch. Newleaf was afoot, and new kits, apprentices, and warriors were being named with each passing day.

Sparkpaw dashed out to sit beneath the willow branch.

"Sparkpaw," Fishstar meowed, "please step forward."

Sparkpaw stepped forward.

The leader's eyes met the apprentice's. "I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn. Sparkpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." She meowed.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Sparkpaw, from this day forth you shall be known as Sparkwillow. RiverClan honours your loyalty and dedication." She leaped down to conclude the ceremony, and joined in with the chanting of the young cat's new name.
