Darkpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Fishstar shouted.

Darkpaw padded out of the apprentice's den and sat with the gathering clan underneath of the Willow Branch.

"Darkpaw, please step forward," Fishstar said after she spotted the apprentice.

The white tom stood up at his leader's order and took a step forward, keeping his one blue and one gold eyes locked onto Fishstar the whole time.

The tabby continued, "I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn. Darkpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do," Darkpaw purred as he gazed up at the leader. His tail flicked happily behind him and a smile appeared on his face.

Fishstar thought for a moment to decide on a name and then went on. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Darkpaw, you shall now be known as Darkfrost. RiverClan honours your strength and loyalty."
