Snowkit's Apprentice Ceremony

After grooming her small adoptive daughter and guiding the kit to the meeting area by gently pushing with her nose Blizzardshine leaped onto the Highrock rather quickly, her fur stading on end and heart beating quickly. This wasn't just any ceremony, but her little Snowkit's very own apprentice ceremony. Wondering if the mixed feeling of pride and nervousness was exactly what every queen felt on this kind of situations “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

SnowKit blinked confused by her mom grooming her and nudging her outside. She blinked watching her mother. She quietly approached and sat down her two different colored eyes looking up to her mother.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white deputy finally decided to go on “Snowkit, please, step forward”.

Snowkit blinked as her mother called her to step forward. Nervousness shined in her green and blue eyes before she stepped forward.

Blizzardshine purred softly, giving a warm comforting smile at her daughter before speaking again “Snowkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Snowpaw” Her words were softer and slightly slower than usual, wanting to let her daughter understand that this was a good thing and there was no reason to think otherwise “Your mentor will be Blacktwig. I hope he passes down all he knows on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, padding towards her daughter and happy for the choice made. Blacktwig was his closest friend and she knew he would teach her well.

Snowpaw blinked and as she understood her mother was explaining it was a good thing she relaxed and smiled a tiny bit. She looked around for a moment for her mentor.
