Little Tyrants (Semi-Open)

Ripley laughed as they rolled, paws too tangled up to really doing anything in retribution, but Diesel wasn't hurting him, so he didn't mind too much. But when the older kit looked away, Ripley grinned and pounced on him, managing to pummel Diesel's flank with strong back legs. He growled playfully and faux-bit the other's neck while somehow managing to keep him pinned down. "Gotcha! See, I can jump!" He crowed, dark eyes glittering with kit-like excitement.

Bear nodded approvingly to the young kits. They had the markings of good fighting skill in their movements, but they weren't quite getting it. He allowed a low growl to rumble in his throat to get their attention, "Great start, but this isn't a play match. You need to focus."

They were still kits and he understood that much, but if they didn't become more serious now they never would. The tom struck forwards, quickly covering the distance between himself and Artemis. The kit had been complaining about her turn. Now she would get it. His paws connected with the side of her muzzle. It wasn't forceful enough to do any damage, but he had been quick enough to be startling, "Always be prepared. Fighting is not a game." With that, Bear sat back on his haunches to continue watching. He signaled for them to continue with a flick of his tail.

Artemis blinked watching her sibling her claws had been working furiously into the ground. Though she blinked her light gold eyes focusing on bear. The silver spotted Maine coon kit didn't see what came next. She seen a flash of brown fur and a paw connected with her muzzle. The she kit stood after being knocked slight to the side her ears flat for a moment tail giving a slight lash. She had let out a slight squeak as she had been hit but nothing much else."ok..."She mewed shaking her head before her light gold eyes lit up watching Bear for a moment.

Nero watched on nervously despite everything she was still a mother and cared about her kits wellbeing. She let her fur bristle as he swatted her daughter's muzzle a small hiss escaping her.

Bear padded over to join Nero. He noticed her change in attitude and wanted to reassure her. The rogue leader settled down next to his enforcer. His tone was a serious and calm hiss, "You know I would never seriously hurt your kits. With my training, no forest cat will ever be able to touch them." He played on her distaste for the clans. Of any of the rogues in his group, Nero had the most hatred for the cats of the forest. Besides, while Bear was a tough mentor, he would never want to seriously harm one of his cats.

While he was over with Nero, he flicked a tail towards Spottedpaw and nodded at Artemis, "Attack her." He demanded. The tom expected defiance from the Thunderclan apprentice. He wanted it. If she were to defy him now, she would quickly fall under all of the claws of cats who were being trained up under him. There was no one out here to save here.

Ripley had dipped his head at Bear's instructions, seeming to get that now was the time to actually train and not just play. But his fur fluffed out when the tom huge paw smacked into the side of his sister's face, and he'd immediately ran over to make sure she was okay. He licked her muzzle reassuringly, then looked up at Bear. Something dangerously close to doubt flickered in his eyes as he looked up at the huge cat. Ripley wasn't quite sure what was going on, but it felt like a small rock was lodged in his stomach and he didn't know what to to. One one hand, he admired Bear and on occasion liked to think that the great cat was secretly his father. On the other...he didn't know what to think about it all. The tom's dark eyes flicked over to Spottedpaw. He had to protect his sister, but he was starting to get the feeling that if Spottedpaw didn't attack, something bad would happen. His tail tip twitched as he made up his mind, crouching. He had to protect both Spottedpaw and Artemis; and he knew neither one of them would like what he was about to do.
Without warning, he flew at Spottedpaw before either she or his sister could react to Bear's command, landing just in front of her. It almost seemed a mistake before he dove between the she-cat's paws and flipped onto his back, kicked up at her chest hard while digging his claws into her hind leg and biting at her paw; it was a clumsy re-enactment of an attack he'd seen two cats use a few days before. He almost flinched away from the taste of warm blood that filled his mouth, but he held on. I'm sorry, but I have to make it look real!

Nero blinked furious gold eyes before she let herself relax. It was only a mother's instinct to protect her kits and when he had assured her he didn't have no intentions of harming her she relaxed trusting the rogue leader.

Artemis blinked and stood eager to prove herself despite getting knocked aside. That was until her brother invited and her ears laid flat slight about to make a comment but it didn't happen as her brother attack the apprentice. She lashed her tail slight and gave a small growl.
