Cloverkit and Blazingkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Darkstar took a glance at the sky, a bit apprehensive of the storm clouds gathering overhead. 'Well, you know what they say about Newleaf showers.' She made her way to the top of her perch and called out, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Blazingkit was quivering with uncontainable excitement, and a feeling of nausea. He knew that he was about 6 moons old, and he knew Cloverkit was too. He felt like he could run to Highstones with all this anticipation building up inside of him. He glanced at Cloverkit nervously, then looked up at Darkstar with a mixture of shyness and great respect.

Cloverkit padded out of the nursery. She glanced at Blazingkit excitedly, he was basically her only friend well besides Cloudpaw, Sandpaw, and Stonepaw. Everybody else was uneasy around her and always comparing her to her favorite warrior Cloverpool.

Blazingkit smiled at his friend and touched her with his tail in greeting. It was hard to understand how she felt, when he felt like he had all the friends in the world. But that didn't mean he would hesitate to make her feel better. "Excited? Mum's gonna be so proud! I hope I get Blacktwig - I mean, a good mentor!" he mewed, ecstatic. He sat himself down comfortably, curling his tail over his paws and trying to look official.

Cloverkit nodded enthusiastically.

Blacktwig trotted out, feeling strange sunlight warm his fur. He breathed a sigh of utter relief, solaced by the idea of Newleaf hastily coming to greet him. He cocked his head when he saw Cloverkit and Blazingkit... so much like Cloverpool and Blazingleap. Probably like Blazingheart, too, if Blacktwig ever met him. The warrior's gaze darkened. All of the aforementioned cats were deceased. He took his place in the ranks of the many felines viewing the ancient ceremony, replacing his melancholy thoughts with jubilant ones. Blacktwig began to purr deeply.

Blazingkit looked up at Darkstar, hardly faltering his gaze until he saw Blacktwig's glossy fur shining in the rising suns rays. He smiled and watched as he and the other clan cats wandered into the clearing. "Imagine if I was leader.." he muttered under his breath, too low for Cloverkit to hear.

Cloverkit looked at Blazingkit curiously before looking back up at Darkstar.

OOC: Please act like Blizzardshine was the one that called for the meeting.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white deputy finally decided to go on “Cloverkit, Blazingkit. Step forward, please”.

Blazingkit stood forward shakily, glancing at Blizzardshine. He was filled with many mixed emotions, ranging from absolute joy to fear and sadness. He would miss being a kit and living carefree days, but now his life would be much more exciting.

Cloverkit stepped forward.

Blizzardshine purred softly, giving a warm smile at the younger cats before speaking again “Cloverkit, Blazingkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Cloverpaw and Blazingpaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentices “Your mentors will be Silentsong and Morningshine, respectively. I hope they pass down all they know on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan.

Blazingpaw purred deeply and rubbed against Cloverpaw's tortoiseshell flank. "We are apprentices now, and that means we won't be able to play anymore," he mewed quietly, "but you and the others will always be my friends." And with that, he took off to find his new mentor, Morningshine. He imagined what his days would be filled with now - running through the forest, pouncing on prey, fighting enemies.. It was a lot to comprehend for little Blazingpaw.

Cloverpaw purred and touched noses with her mentor but her smiled faded a little when she heard Blazingpaw's words but them smiled again before anybody knew it. "That's Ok I guess. She purred.
