Amber's River Encounter(closed foe those in riverclan who joined the covanant plot)

Ambernose has already has difficulty getting to the Riverclan border even though there wasn't one for Riverclan and Shadowclan she dreaded carefully. She stayed at the edge of the territory as best she could as she sat waiting for any cats to show up.

Dawnsong was simply taking a walk around the borders, marking and hunting along the way. She planned to return soon, but the scent of Shadowclan reached her nose and she followed the smell until she spotted a dark cat. "Hello?" She wished to know why this cat was at their borders.

Aspentail trailed behind Dawnsong as the two she-cats strolled along the border. It wasn't long before she caught whiff of ShadowClan, and instinctively unsheathed her claws. "How'd they get over here?" she whispered to her friend. She followed alongside her until they saw the dark-furred cat. Sleek black pelt, with a patch of orange on her nose and eyes to match. She hadn't seen her before, but the scent of the marsh-dwelling Clan was all too obvious. And unlike Dawnsong, she wasn't going to be too friendly to trespassers. "Oh, I wouldn't go ahead making friends with ShadowClanners," she said, with a glance to the silver tabby. She quickly snapped her gaze back to the unfamilar cat, the intruder, her back arched defensively. "Why are you here? Coming to steal our prey? Kill our warriors? Spying?" she demanded, staring her down.

Venompaw, who was once again hiding in the shadows, slipped out next to Ambernose and said with as calm a tone as was possible for her
"No, nothing like that. So how about you calm down and give us a chance to explain before preparing to rip our throats out?" her voice did, of course, remain clam the whole way through but the threat behind it was obvious. "We aren't coming to cause trouble, we need to talk" Looking at Ambernose, she stopped talking, deciding to let her explain. She was her leader so Venompaw would step back and let her do her job

Ambernose flicked her tail keeping a calm demeanour"no we have come to do anything like that. We come in peice....I have an offer I would like to make you two if you would let me speak"She mewed calmly."I am getting together a group....a secret group that will her rid of the evil that fills our clans"She mewed.

Bumpity

Dawnsong narrowed her eyes as yet another cat came over, but this time she gave a wary glance back to Aspentail. Her attention focused back on the strangers. "Tell me more, and why exactly have you asked us this question?" Her voice held caution, but she did not think these cats were dangerous. They didn't seem so, yet at least.

Aspentail narrowed her eyes, like the she-cat beside her. "Dawnsong's right. Why us? Have you been watching us?" She de-tensed slightly, but she still held a defensive stance. A group to cleanse the evil of the Clans? Sounded...dangerous. Vigilantes, they'd be. Defying the rules for the greater good.
Ah, that sounded familiar.

"No, not necessarily you in particular. But if we didn't think you were worthy of the job then we wouldn't have come. If I were you I'd take it as a compliment." Venompaw spat out the last word but took a deep breath, doing her best to stay relatively calm. She found it somewhat insulting that Aspentail really thought they would stalk them, or watch them from the shadows. Was that really the view other clans had of them?
"It means you're capable, intelligent, worthy fighters and some of the best we can find for the job. We don't just take anyone you know"

She unsheathed her claws and sheathed them again, in and out, with frustration. She was exaggerating slightly, fairly certain that Ambernose was taking anyone she could find, but figured that from the way she was putting it, these cats shouldn't really be wary of their efforts and instead honoured.

"Yes exactly and like I said we aren't here to cause problem...and no we haven't been watching you so you can relax"She mewed calmly. She flicked her tail to Venompaw"please loose some of the anger Venompaw"she mewed.

Dawnsong flicked her tail in thought, wondering whether or not to trust these cats. "And, are there cats from other clans already in this group or no?" She was curious to see, but in the end she and Aspentail would have to make a decision together. Dawnsong would not drag her friend into something that she did not want to be a part of.

"Does anyone besides us outside of the group know about this?"

"Yes there are cats from Thunderclan....Skylab Windclan and from Shadowclan it is only me and Venompaw here."she mewed."outside of the group itself no.... Nobody knows."she mewed.

Venompaw rolled her eyes at Ambernose's comment, but took a deep breath and relaxed a little. These cats would never join if they thought it was full of violent rogues or something.
"And we'd like it to stay that way, all we want to do is make the world a better place" her statement was an implication, something along the lines of 'Keep your mouths shut'.

She knew it was probably hard for the others to trust them, she wouldn't have trusted Ambernsoe either, but her eyes weren't those of a liar, everything they were saying was the truth

Dawnsong flicked her ears as she listened, then shot Venompaw a look. Already she was getting impatient, it seemed. Well, Dawnsong had every right to be hesitant. She thought for a few moments longer before finally nodding. "I suppose I can give it a try. It seems as though it is for a good cause, so no harm done. But no funny business."

"Alright thank you and it won't be any funny business well be meeting on a new moon at fourtrees"she mewed calmly before she looked to the other riverclan cat.
