Whitepaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Fishstar shouted over the noise of RiverClan camp.

Whitepaw steped out of her den and listened to the Fishstar call. Amberpelt already said to her, that her ceremony will be very soon. Maybe today was that day? But Whitepaw wasn´t sure so she just stand there with other clan cats and waited for next Fishstar´s words. What will follow?

Amberpelt had been pacing back and forth in the middle of the camp when Fishstar's yowl echoed. Her ears perked up as her eyes grew wide, very much knowing what this was for. It was time for Whitepaw to be a warrior. Excitement over her apprentice's warrior ceremony, she happily strolled up to her normal spot and sat down, curling her tail around her paws as she glanced over toward the apprentice den just in time to see Whitepaw stepping from the den and taking her place with the Clan.

Yellowpaw figured out that Whitepaw´s ceremony was on faster than her. He was angry that Whitepaw had an assessment faster than him. But when he figured about Whitepaw´s warrior ceremony he almost became mad. Younger she- cat was his best friend and half sister. They had the same father Sleetfang and different mothers. They knew each other since they were kits and they had many experiences together. But sadly Yellowpaw appreciate ranks more than friends. However Yellowpaw steped to the Whitepaw and silently said: "Congratulations Whitepaw. I hope that I will follow you very soon."

Whitepaw smiled to Yellowpaw and answered as kind as always: "Of course. You will."

"Whitepaw," Fishstar went on, "please step forward."  

Whitepaw slowly came forward, proud of herself and on all her apprentice training.

"I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn. Whitepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Her gaze turned stern.

Whitepaw watied for these noble words to be ended and then said: "I do." She knew how the ceremonys were running so she didn´t even listened to her becuase she was so nervous of saying those words.

"Then by the powers of StarClan," Fishstar went on, "I give you your warrior name. Whitepaw, from this day forth you shall be known as Whitestream. RiverClan honours your loyalty and dedication."

Whitepaw was so proud when Fishstar said those words and her new name. From now on she will be known as Whitestrema! What a beautifull name! Soon her first apprentices will follow and she would be important part of the clan. She finally became a warrior.
