OOC: Since Squirrelnose isn't going to be on here today, we can just say the boys checked out and headed back to the ranch if you want.

IC: Jamie smiled and headed to the barn, that's when she saw Lily standing near Lightning. She panicked, Lightning hated other people! "Get away from him!" she shouted in fear, knowing the black mustang would begin to get antsy around the new girl.

Jessie gasped and ran after Jamie. Lighting was ok around her but she knew that others shouldnt go near him. Twilight was the same way expect she liked Jamie and seemed to love Lighting. Twilight snorted angrily at the girl and put her head iver Lightings stall to neight at her then nickered to Lighting. Jessie ran over to Twilight's stall and quickly calmed her down.

Axel saw that a disaster might be nigh, as he looked out at the commotion. He adjusted the soft collar of his green hoodie and walked out. Although he didn't focus his attention on Lily, he wondered if she was as miffed to be here as he was. He only glanced up with pythonic, effete brown eyes, and continued on, trying not to be a part of the situation. The black stallion scoffed at Lily. Axel turned around. Not as soon as I get here, reflected Axel.

"He's fine." The girl said in an emotionless voice. "He won't hurt me. He's just a little grumpy." Her voice softened as she turned to the black stallion, who stamped his hoof defiantly. "I'm getting to him."
Storm made constant nickering sounds to the black stallion- Lightning -who didn't respond. Lily sighed in relief. At least they weren't fighting... The two would surely get along. That had been Storm's job on her old farm, to calm down and 'tame' scared or angry horses. Deep down, though, she knew she would probably never get to know this poor horse. Something must've happened. She turned to the other girls. "H-h-h-how'd you f-find this guy?" She gestured to Lightning. "He's s-sweet, even i-if he is a-a little wild." Why did the stutter have to come up now, of all times? This was her only chance to make a good impression on the older girls.

Jessie looked at the girl. "Ok so first off hi. Second dont talk like you know Lighting because you dont. You dont know his story or anything and besides you shouldnt be messing with animals you arent familar with and somebody else's pets." She said a little annoyed this random girl came in here and messed with her best friends horse.

James pulled up to the house and started to unload the groceries carrying the heaviest things inside.

Lily narrowed her eyes. She had found her first enemy. "Sorry," She said, her face bright red, looking at the girl who had yelled to get away from the horse. She didn't mean any harm- she was only looking to keep Lily safe. No, it was the other girl that was the problem. "Fine. Have fun treating his foundering then." She glanced at Lightning. He wasn't foundering, or anything like that. It was time to test this silly city girl's real knowledge. Besides- horses weren't pets, they were family. Lily thought angrily (I DON'T HATE YOU THIS IS AN ANGER FLASH!) She patted Storm's neck. The large and impressive horse towered over the black mustang, his eyes looked wild under his mane. At least, that's how the small girl imagined it. Lily patted his neck nervously, but he still sniffed the girl who had shouted distrustfully.

Jessies egws softened. "Im sorry. Its just that Lighting doesnt really like anybody but Jamie and well hes ok around me. Were just trying to protect you. Anyways im Jessie and this is Jamie. Whats your name and who is this handsome horse?" She said in a more gentle tone patting Twilights neck soothingly.

OOC: also Jessie was born and raised in a farm she is a city girl at all

"Lily." the girl grinned tentatively. And this is Storm. He's what you might call a 'problem horse'... Only I can ride him. He almost killed someone who tried to r-ride him a-a few years a-ago... She cleared her throat.
"C-can I ask... what h-happened t-to this guy? I-I don't want to b-be rude or anything.
I just wanted t-to know."

Jessie nodded thoughtfully. "Ive had a few horses like that on my farm when i was growing up. And Jamie can tell you what happened." She said. Twilight neighed and reached owcr the bars to sniff Storm then put her head over the bars where Lighting was.

Storm snorted as Twilight sniffed him, shifting his weight impatiently. Lily saw a dog, a merle, trot into the barn. "W-w-who's t-that?" She asked, pointing.

Axel nearly cringed at the way these two were interacting. He didn't want to seem odd (like he usually did). He gave Lily a glance, and noted how the veterans treated her. W-Will they be unwelcoming to me, too? wondered Axel, a lump forming in his throat. He wryly caught a glimpse of how the anger flashed in the shy girl's eyes. He tried to leave. Were all of them so familiar with horses? He lived in a rural neighbourhood, on a farm, too, but he only had livestock like sheep and chicken, and one horse and one dog. The horse had belonged to his mother, and its name was Marsha. She had been a beautiful mare.

Jamie relaxed when she heard the girl's intentions, "About three years ago, I was making a normal perimeter check after having a terrible thunderstorm, and I heard a shriek coming from the north field. I raced over there to find him with his leg caught in the barbed wire fence," she lifted Lightning's back leg revealing the long spiral scar that stretched down it. "I brought him back to the barn, called the local vet, and the rest is history. Lightning has been mine since that day. He's stubborn as an ox, fast as a bullet, and more loyal than anything." she padded his neck as she spoke, then nodded for the girl to come forth and pat his snout.

Archer and Kevin followed, carrying in the rest.

James set the bags on the counter and started to put the groceries away.

Jessie went to the tack room and got Twilights temporary saddle and Lightings saddle. The she grabbed their reins and blankets and walked iver to Jamie and Lily and set Lightings stuff on the stall door and then went to put Twilights stuff on her. Once she was done she waited for Jamie.

Jamie gladly took Lightning's tack and put it on while Lily was petting him. Once finished she snapped the lead on his halter and waited for Lily to step back. "Look, you need to be more careful about the animals around here, they're not all just gunna be friendly. There's a reason that they are here, understand that. You're welcome to touch any of the other horses, as long as someone says that it is acceptable. In the future stay clear of touching or even approaching someone else's horse or pet without proper authorization, okay?" she wasn't really waiting to hear a reply, she pulled Lightning, who was becoming restless, behind her, and then mounted him once outside.

Lily uttered a soft oh. So that was where the tack was. She nodded curtly to the girl. Not that she was petting Lightning or anything...
She felt really bad now. Lightning had been through a lot, poor guy. She resolved not to bother him again.
She skipped into the room, grabbing a sizable saddle and a bitless bridle and heaving the tack onto Storm's back.
"Where are you guys going?" She asked curiously, wondering if she could come.
