Miss Sadie's Home for Wayward Youth RP

Jamie grinned from ear to ear, "I'd love that! Here's what I was thinking!" she walked over to the window and extended her arms, "Big beautiful curtains stretched across this window here, a luscious queen sized bed here below it, big beautiful armoire sitting over here. Oh! And a big solid oak door on the bathroom and closet! And, and! Perhaps build an actual staircase leading down, maybe a spiral one!" She gestured with exaggerated actions as she explained her ideas.

Jessie laughed. "Your enthusiasm is contagious. That's a great idea. But the only thing is to fix this place up will be expensive unless we build everything ourselves." She said. She loved building things, ever since she was a little girl her father had said she was always in his worship with him watching him work. And although she didn't remember that she had always had a feeling for woodworking.

Jamie was pleased that her friend wanted to help, "You're right, but I'm sure we can go to the junk yard and get some scrap metal for the stairs, and it won't cost us a dime!" she looked over the broken banister, "On the main floor, I was thinking about cleaning up those windows and placing some planted pots on the sills, and then retile the kitchen and add a little nook where me and Jam-my husband," she blushed a bit at the skip, "And then for the living area, a queen sized sleeper sofa with small tables at each side and then a big flat screen TV!" she was beaming with imagination at what she had pictured for the small out building.

OOC: I'm thinking about turning this rp into a book!

OOC: I'd love to help and that's a great idea what is it gonna be on?

IC: Jessie beamed. "Great idea! And I've got some of my parents old stuff like their pots and tootles for stuff like this in my large trunk. We can use those. But it's heavy so we can ask James to use Gypsy to pull the trunk on a cart or something. Or we could use Lighting and Twilight." She said thinking of ways that they could rebuild the little house without spending a ton of money. Jessie still has money from the job she had before she had to move to Miss Sadie's and after she takes Twilight into town to get her stuff later on she would ask Jamie to go with her so they could go to the hardware store.

The small girl walked in through the front gate, ignoring the car driving quickly away from behind her. She walked a few more steps forward uncertainly, leading Storm behind her. She looked around for someone, anyone to help her out.

OOC: What do you mean by on? Like which character or like website or something? I was just going to write the book itself and maybe send it into a publisher, but I have to change Jamie's name because I'm currently using that name in another book. I was going to have it like third person ominous, where the narrator kinda knows all.

IC: Jamie smiled, "That would be fantastic! I know for sure Miss Sadie has some old things tucked away in her attic, and I believe there is a thrift store in town where we can find fabrics and such! James and I are going into town later, do you wanna tag along and we could shop for some things?" she was ecstatic by now, knowing that someone else shared the same dream as she did.

Miss Sadie sat on the porch, rocking on the swing, she saw the small girl headed up the drive. She rose to her feet and started down the front steps. "Hello, dear, can I help you?" she called as she bounded over to her. The heavy set middle-aged woman did her best to hurry to the girl, so she wouldn't be frightened off.

The small girl flinched as the woman walked towards her, but tugged Storm's lead rope and started forward anyways, her gray eyes taking in the woman's face and features distrustingly.

It was once Miss Sadie approached the girl that she remembered who she was, "You must be Lily Heidtke, I'm so sorry, I completely forgot you were coming in today!" she wrapped her arm around the small framed child, "How about we drop you horse here off at the stables and give him a name plate, and then we can go into the house and I can show you around. Have you eaten yet? I think we have some leftover pancakes if you'd like some," she led the girl to the barn and escorted Storm to an empty stall and handed Lily a name plate.

Lily nodded eagerly at the mention of food. She didn't usually eat much, but today she was feeling especially hungry. She put Storm in a stall, making sure he had fresh water, a pitchfork-full of hay and a whispered promise to come back as soon as possible. Then she left him, following Miss Sadie now trustingly up to the house.

Miss Sadie sat the girl down at the small table in the kitchen, she reheated the pancakes and served them before the child. "Now, since you are twelve, we have a room set up for nine to twelve year old girls. Do you want to be in a room alone, or do you want me to move you to the next room up for the time being?" Miss Sadie was doing her best, going off the young girl's chart, to judge what would be best for her.

"C-c-c-could I g-go with the o-other g-girls?" The little girl whispered, her complexion ruddy with embarrassment. She was used to sharing a room with others, like she used to at home, and she still hadn't gotten used to sleeping in her own room.

Miss Sadie gently padded the young girl on the shoulder, "Of course, dear," she exited the room and lifted the key for room 2A, she then reentered the room and placed the key next to Lily. "You just go on up whenever you're ready, its the second room on the right on the second floor." with that, she turned and went over to the sink to finish up the morning's dishes.

Lily nodded, gripping the key tightly in one hand and wolfing down her pancakes. She carefully put the cleared plate in the sink, smiled brightly to the motherly woman, and walked up the stairs. She stood on the first landing for a short while, taking in the new scene, before turning right. She put the key into the lock of the second door and turned the doorknob, walking in tentatively to her new living quarters.

OOC: Sorry I didn't post. I didn't have reliable internet and I was mobile, because I went to D.C. for the climate march. But I took my brother's computer, so I'm on tonight. I won't be on tomorrow most likely.

IC: Natalie leaned a little closer to Adam, still making sure no one was within earshot. "I've thought of where to keep my money," she said in a hushed voice, still afraid of being eavesdropped on. "My father gave me this jewelry box with three locks. I could keep the money in that, and the box hidden in the treehouse."

OOC: I'll place another bed in there later on the front page, but just go ahead and say there's one in there.

IC: Miss Sadie finished the dishes and then resumed her post on the front porch swing.

The mysterious figure who loomed in the tree house decided he had had enough lounge time and began to set his plot into action. With James gone and Jamie occupied, he decided to start the sabotage. He descended from the tree house and started across the lawn, being careful not to be spotted by any of the youth working on their chores. He approached the laundry that was hanging on the line, he took all of it down carefully and then darted for the barn. Once there his shoved it all into the pig pen, where Charrolette and Wilbur wallowed till their hearts were content.

OOC: Its fine, I figured something was happening, nothing major is happening.

IC: Adam smiled, "That's great! No one else knows about that tree house but us!" he whispered as he spoke, concealing their secret. He then looked out at the lawn, "I'll work the weedeater if you want to use the lawn mower, we'll just take care of the front yard here, I'm sure that's all we're expected to do." he then picked up the long machine and pulled it out into the yard. The then pulled the string hard and started the noisy thing up.
