Jamie smiled, "That's all there is for the entrance exam," she looked at her watch, "the only other thing I need to do is practice shooting, but I'll have to go to the shooting range to do that, and I'll probably do that later today." she took off her heavy over-shirt and gently laid it on the porch rail, she had a white tank on underneath that was tucked into her pants. She laid her hat on her shirt and let her hair fall down around her shoulders. "We're pretty sweaty, we should probably hit the showers before the others get up," she smiled and gently punched his abs.

Archer smiled, "Sure, just let me change first," he got up and quickly ran to his room. He silently slipped out of his pjs and into a pair of tight, boot cut, faded jeans, grey t-shirt, and sneakers. He grabbed his sun glasses and tucked them into his shirt, and walked out to join Jessie by the stair well on her floor.

James nodded. "Why don't we go inside to see if we can help with breakfast?" He said.

Jessie smiled and took Archers hand in hers before walking down the stairs.

Jamie nodded, grabbed her things, and then led them through the doors. She sat her shirt on the front bench and then walked into the kitchen. She saw Adam there making pancakes, and decided to help him with those.

Archer smiled and held her hand tightly as they walked down the stairs.

Jessie smiled and led the way to the barn she pointed to the The hay loft and began to climb. She had discovered that in the back there was a little bed like part of the hay where two hay stacks had come undone and motioned Archer over to the hay before laying down and pressing herself to the boys side.

James followed Jamie and started to cut up some fruit for the pancakes. When he was done he looked for some sugar and found some heavy whipping cream and grabbed the vanilla essence and started to make whipped cream.

Archer smiled and put an arm around her shoulders, "So why did you bring me here?" he inquired.

Jamie smiled as James and then carried the plate of pancakes to the dining hall. Afterward, she hurried up the stairs to her room to get her clothes and grab a quick shower.

Adam looked at James, "So you're my sister's boyfriend?" he asked making small talk.

James thought for a minuet putting the fruit and whipped cream on the table. "Well it's not official but I guess you could say that." He replied.

Jessie shrugged and cuddled into Archer. She buried her face in his chest and inhaled his soothing scent.

Adam brushed his hand on his apron, "I'm Adam, I don't know if we've officially met," he said reaching out his hand.

Archer stroked her hair as they lay together, pulling her closer to him.

Jessie smiled and closed her eyes shifting as close to Archer as possible. She so close that she was almost on top of the boy.

James shook his hand. "And I'm James. Nice to officially meet you." He said.

Adam felt slightly embarrassed by the older boy, he shifted back to his work, cleaned up the dishes, and then headed to the dining hall.

Jamie came back to the kitchen and wrapped her arms around James from behind, "So, what are you doing today?" she asked warmly.

Archer pulled her head to his and kissed her gently.

Jessie kissed Archer back and held him close.

James smiled. And turned around. "well I was going to turn my application for the animal shelter in and then go to the orientation after chores. How about you?" He asked.

Jamie thought for a moment, "Well, shooting range, chores, and perhaps going shopping for clothes later, perhaps I could work in a little date in there somewhere?" she suggested.

Archer hugged her, shifting his weight from side to side, nervous about what to do.

Jessie smiled and laid her head back on Archers chest.

James smiled and nodded. "Sounds good! The orientation is at 1:00 so I'll have time for chores and then afterwards I need to get a new saddle blanket for Gypsy and some more saddle wax and a couple more things for her." He said.

Jamie smiled, "You've got yourself a date," she headed to the dining hall dressed in cut off shorts, an old gray t-shirt, and a pair of red high top sneakers, Her hair in a loose braid that draped over her shoulder.

Archer relaxed and placed an arm around her. "So what are your plans today?" he asked.

Jessie shrugged. "Well after chores I was thinking of riding Twilight into town and buying her some stuff." She replied.

James smiled and nodded and helped to set the table.

Archer nodded, "That sounds grand," he stared at the ceiling of the barn, the holes that let the dim morning sun through.

Jamie sat down in her seat next to James and waited for the others to arrive.

Miss Sadie sounded the alarm and the other youth began to stir.

Adam waited at the bottom of the stairs for Natalie to come down.
