The Mystic Forest [Game!]

Story 2: One Warning, One Riddle





Another night without event passed by, bringing a mix of relief and dread. Not even the Medicine cat had decided to act during this round for some reason. As the cats gathered on the mysterious camp, around the high rock from which the clear stream came from as a small waterfall falling on a pond filled with colorful fishes at its side, the camp was split in two, one side black as the darkest night, the other bright as a cloudless day. On top of the rock two cats stood, one who could only be described as a shadow with a blood red halo and eyes looked down at them with threatening eyes, the other white with thousands of silver stars on his pelt and gentle blue eyes. Both allowed several seconds to pass before speaking in unison, one voice threatening and able to cause fear to even the bravest of warriors, the other gentle and reflecting the love only a mother could have for her kits.


“A deadly threat hidden between the shadows, it can kill in a second or torture for moons.
Purity stained, sanity clouded. What hides inside your silky cocoons?
Friends that look you at the face, enemies that lurk behind your back. Is there still any doubt?
Be swift, be smart, they’re closer than you think. Your time is running out”


With that they disappeared, everything returning to normal. It was clear that this was the last peaceful night the cats would have.

Story 3: Blood and Storms





The day had come to an end, and even after the riddle given by the ancients and the heavy discussion between the cats, they had finally came to the decision to not lynch anyone that day.

Tawnystorm hissed softly as she headed to the fresh-kill pile, hungry and wishing to eat a midnight snack. They may had few clues, but they had to do something, their time was running out, the Ancients themselves had said so. But noooo, everyone else seemed to be way more comfortable allowing the Dark Forest loyalist roam free instead of trying to lynch them.

She was about to pick a still wet fish that reminded her of the ones she used to catch back in RiverClan when a twig snapped behind her, causing her turn around immediately. Behind her was a cat covered in darkness, an unnatural red glow coming from where the eyes were supposed to be to hide their true color.

“Don’t you know it is dangerous to be alone at night here?” Great even their voice was heavily distorted, so she couldn’t tell who she was talking to, or if they were a tom or a she-cat at all. Tawnystorm didn’t need long to understand what was happening though, but she wasn’t going to let them take her down, not without a battle at least.

The two cats immediately got tangled with each other in a storm of fangs and claws, hissing and spitting at each other. The noise should’ve waken the others, but for some reason none else hear the battle. No help would come.

For a moment, Tawnystorm felt like she was going to win. She had the upper paw during most of the battle, that’s for sure, but the darkness covering the cat she was fighting served as some kind of armor towards her claws, not allowing her to harm them. Plus, they didn’t seem like they were getting tired after the long battle while she could feel her own muscles screaming at her, tired and only fueled by her adrenaline at this point.

One miss in Tawnystorm’s tired state was all the Dark Forest loyalist needed to slash at the more experienced cat’s neck, causing her to fall on the ground with a shocked expression, trying to fight back her fate without much luck. The Dark Forest cat walked away without leaving any trail, a cruel smirk on their muzzle.

Tawnystorm’s fight against death ended soon, the Ancient of the Stars that had chosen her appearing at her side and touching her nose gently with a sad expression, a pastel [Sombra’ favorite color] wisp raising from her body as they did “You may help your friends on their quest or leave now, the decision is yours”.
