The Mystic Forest [Game!]

Prologue: A Place Of Legend






The night was relatively calm, only the occasional nocturnal animal and the soft wind blowing through the leaves interrupting the silence. Not even the ShadowClan cats, who could easily be labeled as nocturnal thanks to their habits, were awake at the time. Maybe that was why nobody noticed Them.

Silent as a shadow and followed by a dense fog as they walked through the territories, eleven ghostly beings emerged from the darkness as they approached the location of those they had chosen, guided by the soft song that echoed through the dreams of the living cats.

Nine of them, whose original colors had almost faded completely into white, had their pelts coated in tiny white stars and the fog that was at their side seemed to be made of thousands of even smaller stars, like made of white glitter. The remaining two, whose original colors had almost faded completely into black, had an eerie blood-red outline to their bodies and were followed by a pitch black fog. If it wasn’t for their stars or the outline, it would be near to impossible to see them, as they were almost completely translucent.

Each one arrived to their chosen cat’s location, and without alerting any of the sleeping cats, the fog engulfed them both, only to disappear only a couple seconds later, taking the ghost and living cat with it.


Gently pulled out from their sleep at the same exact same time by the warm sun and the soft breeze carrying the scents of a Newleaf belonging to a forest only found in old forgotten tales and legends, the cats would realize they weren’t in their territory anymore.

Right outside of the spacious den they were sleeping in, on top of a beautiful formation made by the same rock that the Moonstone was made of, stood one of the translucent cats with pelts made of stars, greeting them with a neutral expression and glowing eyes of the purest blue.

“Welcome to the Mystic forest. You had been chosen between many, in your paws rests the future of the forest you live in and the territories beyond. Stay together, find those between you that desire to fill this world with darkness, get rid of them before they get rid of you. Close your eyes, leave your minds blank. The Ancients that brought you here will share their knowledge with you just once, so pay attention. You’ll know what to do, follow your path, and I wish you the best of luck…you’ll need it”

And with those words, the mysterious Ancient vanished before his eyes, leaving them alone.

Story 1: The Calm Before The Storm






The night was unusually calm, the newcomers felt they could cut the silence with their claws if they decided to try. Something was terribly wrong, and they could feel it, the warning of the starry cat still fresh in their minds. They were fighting against the Dark Forest now, but who could they be? How could they tell apart enemy from foe now?

From all the cats in the place, only Wisteriapaw could sleep that night. A cat hidden by sparkly mist standing right at her side with vigilant eyes and some poppy seeds scattered around her muzzle after she had licked up enough to fall asleep peacefully. It was clear that no cat would be able to harm Wisteriapaw that night, not with the Medicine Cat guarding her so well…not that she needed the protection though.

The Dark Forest Loyalists had decided to not reveal themselves so early on, just looking at the rest of the cats, waiting for the perfect time to strike.
