Brindlewhisker let out a short 'mrrow' of greeting, pleased that her apprentice seemed ready for the days work. Giving herself a brief shake, she straightened herself as she quickly reviewed the activities she had planned for the day. "I want to assess how far your hunting skills have come along," She explained, giving the young dark tom an approving look before finishing, "It's almost time for you to earn your warrior name and I need to make sure that I've covered all the bases."
Brindlewhisker began to pad away from Hollowpaw, flicking her tail to signal that he should follow. Ignoring the way that the brittle, frost-broken shoots of heather jabbed at her paws, she began to climb up a smooth, rolling hill that encased the camp, bright blue eyes trained upon the ridge ahead. Once she reached the rather low top of the hill, she looked back at her apprentice, "Where would you like to start?" she questioned- this would be an effective way to test Hollowpaw's knowledge of the territory, while also giving the young tom a chance to lead the pair.
