Again she sought out a toad and leaped to catch and kill it but failed

He followed her quietly, watching and hoping. So far, it was still going decent. There was still time.

She's only been seeing frogs so far but it didn't surprise her after all they did live in the swampy part of the forest. Again she crouched down and hunted down a frog but it managed to slip away once again.

Just one more catch, Thrushstar thought as he moved quietly through the tall grass to get a better view of the apprentice.

She could do this, all she wanted was to catch some prey wouldn't starclan aid her in doing so? Sighing she still didnt' give up Rosepaw was confident in her hunting skills she believed she was ready to be a warrior for shadowclan. Attempting to catch another frog again it managed to slip away from her claws one more time. She hissed under breath, next time she'll catch it.

The leader let out a soft sigh as he continued to watch.

She was getting irritated how do these frogs always escape from her! Without giving up she hunted one again, finally she caught it!

There it was. Just as the sun began to rise, Rosepaw caught one more good sized frog. It was a great catch too. Appearing from his hiding place, Thrushstar padded to the apprentice approvingly. "Great job, Rosepaw. You passed your assessment. Let's grab your catches and head back to the camp, shall we?" He asked her.

Her ears had perked up when she saw Thrushstar approaching her, she was so surprised when she saw him. He really did stay well hidden, the apprentice couldn't even smell him. A shocked look came onto Rosepaw's face when Thrushstar told her that she passed she only caught three frogs she wanted to hunt some more! This would barely feed a queen and her litter. Though she knew it was best not to argue, "Of corse!" Rosepaw mewed after everything she did she was just glad that she managed to pass this difficult assessment, she dug back her prey and headed back to camp with Thrushstar.
