A special family ((CLOSED))

Waddling to the mouth of the nursery and not bothering to wake up his siblings, Ryekit soon stood wide eyed and looked out into the lightly snow covered camp clearing. Being only a few days old the world was still so big, were would he start?

A little ways away was a frosty looking pile of something though he couldn't tell what it was. Opening his crooked jaw, he let out a huff. Well, what harm could come from going to check it out? Leaving the safety of the nursery and forgetting about the cold white stuff that covered the ground, the small tom limped towards the odd heap of fur, his front left paw being bothersome once again and his short stature not helping him go any faster. After a few moments his paws became cold and giving his pelt a shake, he let out a hiss. "Bumb c-colb," he mumbled to himself, finally reaching his destination.

Sitting down and wrapping his tail over his paws, the kit looked around the freshkill pile. Was this what father always brought them? Half frozen prey from here?

Unfortunately, his attention towards the pile didn't last long and looking down to his paws, he remembered that there was some weird soft yet cold fluff under his paws. Lifting his stiff paw, he pawed at the ground, memorized by the snow and oblivious to the pawsteps that approached him.

As Willowwhisker approached the small kit, she noticed he was playing with the snow, most likely for the first time."Do you like the snow?" She questioned, purring slightly.

Hazefur had been awake for a while now, but with nothing really to do, she just remained a heap of fur in the nursery, simply relaxing. Until she realized Ryekit had wandered from the den. She lifted her head, worry for the young kit washing over her. It was cold outside! What if he caught greencough?

Her overly protective motherly instincts kicked in as she rose from her nest, glancing back at her two other kits, who slept peacefully. They'll be fine, she thought, then turned to head out of the den.

The young warrior almost instantly spotted Ryekit, and she breathed a sigh of relief to see that Willowwhisker had already found him. "Ryekit!" She called, quickly approaching. She paused once she reached the pain, offering Willowwhisker a nod of greeting.

Quailkit awoke last in Hazefur's nest, blinking sleepily. But her frosty blue eyes burst wide open in alarm as she realized her whole family was gone. She stumbled quickly out of the soft nest, hurrying outside to see her brothers playing in some powdery white stuff. It looked like fun! Why hadn't they waited for her? The gray she-cat ran up to them and, shivering, pressed herself against Gustkit for warmth.

Letting out a surprised mew, he looked up from the snow and to the cat that had approached him. Who was this cat? She seemed friendly but he didn't he wasn't sure. Before the little tom was able to do anything, his mother, siblings, and another kit came out of the nursery as well.

Running, well, limping to his mother, Ryekit ran under her legs and rose his hackles, letting out a hiss, overwhelmed by the sudden crowd of clan mates. Why where they all here? He just wanted to be left alone!

EDIT: k folks, change of plans. Due to the mods saying cats can't have downs syndrome, I'm gonna have to change some things up a bit about Rye. Instead of having that specific defect, he is just gonna have a limp/crooked weird paw, an underdeveloped jaw, and emotional/social issues (so he doesn't cope well with other except his madre).
