Just Catching up

Nodding at the she-cat's reply, Smokepelt did in fact recall her assessment. "Yes, I remember," he replied simply. "Well, if the two of you have feelings for each other then I cannot stop you. But I must tell you... Thistlefall, he's quite a tom," he chuckled, thinking about the their kits and wondering to himself how they were coping with it all.

What was on his mind? Asking himself the question, even he didn't know where to start. "My minds been on a lot lately," Smokepelt started, not really knowing what to say. "Just everything that happened between RiverClan I guess. I always wonder what life would be like if I hadn't broken that apprentice's jaw," he meowed softly, a bit saddened by the thought.

Nodding his head in agreement, Smokepelt was so glad to have a kit like her who supported him. It was becoming difficult to grow closer to his clanmates with all the tension that had been floating around and being a part of a family that was so close gave him a sense of security that he could trust them. "It was what any deputy would have done," he meowed humbly, not wanting to make too big of a deal out of it. Ashstar was in trouble and so he acted as any loyal son would have. Besides, Lionfur took a life from his mother and for that, he deserved to be punished. "Lionfur was a psycho who needed to be put into his place," Smokepelt added coldly, thinking about the fight.

Looking to her and giving a curt nod of agreement, the tom stayed quiet, not really having anything else to add to Willowhisker's comment about Lionfur. That tom had definitely been something else and to this day, Smokepelt could never imagine what had been going on through the deranged tom's mind. Nothing of the Warrior Code, that was for sure.

Glad to see Smokepelt had approved of her comment, she remembered she had hungry little kits awaiting her in the nursery."I think I should head back into the nursery, the kits are probably getting restless. I enjoyed our little chat." Willowwhisker turned to the freshkill pile and picked up a nice plump mouse to bring for kits to share. "We should have them more often!" Adding onto her goodbye to Smokepelt, she turned back to the nursery and dipped her head to see her kits scrambling and playing around. 

Before he was able to say anything else, Willowhisker was making her way to the nursery and Smokepelt could help but let out a pure of amusement. The she-cat was definitely something else and he was glad to have a daughter like her, even if she was adopted.
