A White Sun. (Open patrol topic)

Webtail followed the rest out, in only a matter of minutes Cherrymist had yowled into the forest that there was a raccoon. He scented the air and gave the others a wary look.

Lightningstrike perked up for stalking a rustling fern that must have yielded prey. Whatever was in there was gone now, scared off by Cherrymist. He scowled and turned back to meet up with the others.

OOC: Are we going to fight it?

Viperpaw looked at Lightningstrike as he came to join with the group. "Hello, Lightningstrike," she said anxiously. Whatever was there - raccoon or badger - it was a threat to the cats' hunt.

OOC: Probably not.

Sunblaze seeing that the racoon was gone decided to start off with her own hunt. She picked up the scent of mouse again. She pounced on the albino body but it scrabbled away just in time.

Leafstream backed away from the spot that the raccoon disappeared. He started hunting like Sunblaze and sniffed around to scent mouse, when Sunblaze pounced onto the albino mouse he caught it in his claws just as it ran away. He killed it with a bite to the neck.

Viperpaw watched as Sunblaze leapt. She saw that she missed, and forgave her silently. She wouldn't be able to succeed with the catch as well, anyways. She sat down again, muscles relaxing after the assumption with the badger... or was it a raccoon? Viperpaw wasn't sure.

Cherrymist puffed out her sharp intake of air as the alarm was downed out. Whatever had attacked her was gone now. Warily, the she-cat returned to her routine and soon found a new hunting opportunity. She pounced on her prey, hoping to manage to sink her claws into something.

Webtail let out a sigh of relief as it ran off and scented the air in hopes of hunting down plenty of prey for the clan.

Lightningstrike relaxed, watching it run away before picking up the scent of prey again. He crouched close to the ground to keep out of sight as he started to track down the source.

Viperpaw had decided to hunt as well. She supposed everyone was taking part in it, so why not she? The maine coon she-cat's glittering brown-grey fur flashed, as she pounced towards a bird, and as she soared through the air, she felt her muscles tense. Her paws felt tingly. She finally landed upon the ground, and-

No!

Viperpaw failed to catch the squirrel in her paws. It skittered off, and Viperpaw omitted a distraught sigh. She looked up when it went running into the bushes, and walked back to Sunblaze and Leafstream with her tail low. She shrugged, deciding that it wouldn't be long until she was better at it.

"It's okay."Sunblaze comforted rubbing her tail on Viperpaw's shoulder. She stopped and sniffed for a scent of prey. She leaped up onto a tree and sunk her claws on a sparrow she ran down and buried it in the ground and turned to see what Leafstream had got.

Leafstream was already hunting and picked up a scent trail of raccoon but quickly turned and headed back to the group.
