Jazz Hands (OPEN)

Jazz walked smoothly through the alley, lifting her thick, bushy tail to prevent it from snagging on the loose pebbles and twigs as she journeyed. The fluffy brown she-cat was completely careless, not even listening hard with her one good ear as she wandered through the Town. Even the cold and harsh snow didn't bother her; her thick coat prevented the cold from penetrating. Finally, she reached her destination: the large pile of food from the upturned bin. Purring, she sat down and started on the meat. Could use some flavor, this is all bland from lying about so long, She thought as she bit into the stale food. She began to groom until she heard the twig snap, the pebbles clattering behind her. She quickly turned around, spooked out. She tried to keep her composure straight, to not to look scared. She projected her loud voice down the lane, yowling, "I know you are out there, whoever you are. I do not want to be mean with you, so just show yourself." Shuffling her paws she waited for an answer, her one good ear twitching furiously to make up for her deformed, mangled one.

"Hello, young one." Midnight stepped out of the shadows and into the sunlight. "What brought you here?"she asked. Hmm maybe another cat to recruit!

Jazz shrugged, her fur lying down as it seemed that the cat was friendly. "I don't know, I just wander around the place, never sleeping in the same spot twice, just goin' here and there."

"M' name's Midnight. What's yours?" she asked as she dropped a crow in front of her and beckoned for her to eat it. "I've been here for a while and i have a camp."

Jazz smiled as she bit into the bird, relishing the fresh taste. "Thanks. My name is Jazz, if you want to know. But do you mean camp as in a large group of cats or just you?"

"Large group."Midnight replied curtly Just pretend and make a friend. "You're new around here aren't you?"

Bat skirted the shadows, swatting at a pile of rat bones and sending them skittering across the ground. He frowned, flicking his ear when he came out of the dark. "Who's this?" he asked flatly.
