The Bandit of the Thunder [Closed]

Owlstrike panted softly as he finished planting the fake evidence, that went from clawmarks to scents, and burying the prey under the thick snow and frozen dirt as the first rays of sunshine fell on his body. This had taken him way too long and he knew that staying in this specific place any longer would get him caught, ruining his plans in no time at all. Hissing softly he turned around, looking at the snowy paw prints that appeared to come from ThunderClan’s territory and then back. Those would serve as further evidence for them to think that a warrior from said clan had crossed the Thunderpath and had done the stealing instead of him. Without losing a single second and trying to not trip or slip with the frozen spots that once were pools of water or mud, he disappeared between the shadows of the territory belonging to ShadowClan, far from the path he knew the dawn patrol would use.

Flamepaw was finally out on a patrol for the first time. After moons of living in the nursery and watching kits grow up and move on without him, the clan leader had finally allowed him to join the apprentices. The fiery orange tom overjoyed at the fact rather than bitter because he was here now. Most of his clanmates seemed to still not welcome the once rogue kitten, but he owed them for saving his and letting him in.
As they walked along the borders, he stayed mostly silent, not daring to talk. Suddenly, a scent hit him, different from the familiar Shadowclan one that filled most of the territory. He thought for a second trying to recall which clan it was. Thunderclan! He let out a soft hiss at the thought of another clan entering his clan's territory.
After a moment's hesitation about speaking, he finally meowed just loud enough for the surrounding cats to hear, "I smell Thunderclan. There was a Thunderclan cat here".

Hazeflight lead the patrol,the sun bounced off her Hazey coloured pelt and the thin scar across her eye glowed red.The silver she-cat glanced back,all seemed well that was until the scent of ThunderClan filled her nose.Hazeflight stopped dead,her body going rigid and her fur bristled up."ThunderClan..."she muttered.Hazeflight turned to face the cats behind her shooting Flamepaw,her apprentice,an uneasy grin.Do you smell that?Well,that's ThunderClan scent and it appears they have crossed the border.Please be on guard and ready as they may be hostile.I will report this to Thrushstar but I feel that we should search for evidence of what the ThunderClan cat did."she meowed simply.Without waiting for the others to reply she began to search for evidence.

Smokepaw was lingering behind the patrol, his gaze flickering to the Thunderpath uneasily. He had never liked the hard black ground that separated the two Clans as monsters tended to race down these paths and the snow only made it harder to tell where the path was - making it all the more dangerous. He jolted when Flamepaw - followed by Hazeflight - spoke up. His gaze flickered to the two of them, his ears folding back on his head as they both agreed on smelling ThunderClan. He hissed softly, but mostly in fear. He could only hope that if a ThunderClan cat was crossing the border that they were long gone - he didn't like the idea of fighting. He did his best to keep his eyes out, digging his claws uneasily into the ground.

Shadepaw padded beside Smokepaw, watching Hazeflight and Flamepaw with unblinking eyes. As Flamepaw uneasily pointed out the fact that there was strong, Thunderclan scent, he opened his mouth slightly to inhale deeply, and just as Flamepaw pointed out, the scent of Thunderclan reeked even more so than the foul stench of the thunderpath. Scanning the area with glittering eyes, Shadepaw noted the set of paw prints in the fresh snow that trekked from the dense forest of Thunderclan's territory onto Shadowclan's territory, and back to the forest once more. The thick fur on his nape bristled in disbelief- how dare they think that they could waltz onto Shadowclan territory?!

Stalking forward on stiff legs, he stood over the prints in the snow- eyes blazing with disbelief."Hazeflight," Shadepaw snarled, standing over prints, his tail lashing in disbelief. "There's prints in the snow- coming from Thunderclan territory, crossing over the border, and back onto Thunderclan territory." He beckoned the older she-cat closer, raising his eyes to quickly scan both borders. "Thunderclan's been trespassing! They blatantly crossed the border."

Silentpaw padded towards the end of the patrol, keeping mostly to himself, while still being aware of his surroundings and the conversations going on ahead of him. He froze when an unknown scent hit his nose and his black and white pelt bristled. His green eyes flickered around from the paw prints in the snow to the obvious scent of ThunderClan as he listened intently to Hazeflight. ThunderClan? In our territory? Hunting our prey? "How dare they!" He hissed under his breath, nodding to the others comments, as he quietly crept forward to inspect the paw prints coming from the border between them and ThunderClan.

"What should we do Hazeflight?" Flamepaw hissed softly in case there were still Thunderclan cats lurking around.

Hazeflight stared at the paw prints.Her tail thrashed in anguish.What was it whith the other clans?They had no respect for the code!The silver she-cat stared at the paw prints her head cocked slightly into why this cat had crossed the border.Hazeflight sniffed the paw prints,amongst the ThunderClan scent there was clearly anothe.She sniffed again trying to identify the scent.Fresh kill!They've been stealing from us!How dare they,but I need proof..."They took fresh kill. See,you take a sniff.Do you smell it now?"she meowed her voice slightly edgy with the anger that pulsed through her.

Smokepaw blinked as his ears flickered back, dropping somewhat into a couch as Shadepaw took notice of the paw prints and Hazeflight noticed the scent of fresh kill. Would...Would ThunderClan truly stoop to such levels - to steal prey from another Clan in Leaf Bare? His gaze flashed across the border, terrified that the thief would still be lingering around. "We-We should inform Thrushstar," he quickly said as he forced himself to stand up straight in an effort to look less scared then he was. "He needs to know of this!"

Silentpaw nodded to Hazeflight's question about smelling prey. That's that smell! I smell it! He thought, his black tail lashing through the cold, snowy air. His head turned to Smokepaw as she began talking. "We have to tell him!" She meowed, for the first time on the patrol. "They can't just do this and get away with it!" He meowed indignantly.

Hazeflight looked at the two apprentices slightly confused.She had said the moment she smelt ThunderClan scent she was informing Thrushstar,did they seriously think she wasn't going to tell him?The silver she-cat sighed."Of course I will be telling Thrushstar.The leader needs to know that a cat has crossed the border and as of yet we have not found enough evidence to say this ThunderClan cat stole any prey.All we have is a scent,we must continue to search for evidence."she meowed flatly.Hazeflight quickly turned away from the footprints and began to search for any fresh kill.

Flamepaw stuck his nose into the frigid flakes of snow on the ground, searching for something, anything.
After a second of the scent getting stronger, a fresh kill smell hit him.
"I found it," He hissed to the rest of the cats quietly, "There is something here". He nudged a think layer of snow away to reveal a mouse. Some Thunderclan cat killed one of our mice!
"Hazeflight, I think we have our evidence."

Hazeflight rushed over ice blue eyes filled with fury.If I had it my way I'd be already be in ThunderClan Camp telling Darkstar exactly what I think!The silver she-cat hissed in anger."How dare they!This unbelievable Darkstar needs to learn to control her cats.I think maybe we should head back with the evidence and inform Thrushstar."she hissed picking up the mouse.
