Jaykit and Goldenkit's Apprentice Ceremony

She was running out of warriors to train all of these new apprentices! Still, it was a happy day when a kit took on their first step in growing up. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

The blue gray tabby she kit heard the call and with a final pick to her curry chest she scampered from the nursery tail held high as she strode her way to the front of the crowd and sat down. Jaykit smiled nervously and looked up at the leader.

Darkstar too was unaware that Goldenkit was her grandson. Although he did look a bit like her late grandmother Sunface, she hadn't known her for enough of her life to remember her. "Jaykit and Goldenkit, please step forward."

Kay kit stood back up quietly the blue gray tabby then padded forward and looked up at Darkstar

"Jaykit and Goldenkit. You have both reached the age of six moons and it is time that you became apprenticed. From this day forth until you receive your warrior names, you shall be known as Jaypaw and Goldenpaw." Darkstar turned her yellow gaze towards two warriors, one of them being her deputy. "Mothstrike and Blizzardshine will be your mentors, respectively, and I know they have the skills and knowledge to teach you well." The leader made her way down, as the chill was making it harder for her three paws to grip the rock's surface. 'I hope to Starclan Mothstrike can handle Jaypaw better than Sleekpaw. That was a disaster.'

Blizzardshine smiled warmly and padded towards the newly named Goldenpaw, touching noses with him “I’ll be honored to mentor you, Goldenpaw, I hope to see you become a great warrior one day” Blizzardshine was never a cat to judge based on anyone’s origins, and this was far from being an exception. While many cats would see an outsider in Goldenpaw, a cat who didn’t belonged to a clan, she saw potential and a future loyal warrior that would be able to prove those who thought otherwise wrong…just like she did. She, after all, was not only of a mixed origin, but everyone old enough would remember Jayflight, the one who was both her father and mentor, the cat from SkyClan that proved to be disloyal to both his clan and StarClan itself in more than one occasion, and how she proved many warriors wrong by becoming a warrior of ThunderClan loyal to their ancestors between the stars, and now the deputy.
