A Chilly Night in Camp [Open]

Smokepaw pulled himself from the apprentice den with a yawn, stretching out his limbs. He blinked as his eyes quickly adjusted to the dimness of night - of course it was a normal waking hours for a ShadowClan warrior. His eyes flashed around the camp before it settled on the pile of fresh-kill, his stomach rumbling in response. He bounded over and took a small frog from the pile - enough to satisfy his hunger while leaving the more bigger prey for the older warriors, queens and elders if they wanted it. Moving a bit away from the pile, he settled down and took a bite with a small purr. He had heard that the other Clans didn't even eat frogs which confused him. They were so good! At least it meant more for ShadowClan, he noted happily.

Hawkfrost stretched, her sleek brown tabby pelt gleaming in the moonlight. The tall warrior stood straight, her blue eyes glittering. She yawned and shook, her pregnant belly swaying. She padded over to the food pile, nudging through the prey. She glanced over to Smokepaw, whom she had shared a den with not too far. "Good evening. How are you, Smokepaw?" she chose a frog and took a seat.

Smokepaw blinked when a voice caught his attention, swallowing his bite of frog as he raising his gaze to find Hawkfrost sitting next to him with a frog of her own. "Hello Hawkfrost," he purred with a dip of his head. Truth be told, it was a bit weird to call her by her new warrior name when they had both been in the apprentice den together not that long ago but he was slowly getting used to it. "I'm doing good, hoping to start my training soon but also enjoying the freedom while it lasts."

Giving his pelt a shake, Mudfoot strolled out of the warrior's den, still a bit groggy from his nap. Yawning, the tom padded over to the fresh-kill pile, hoping to grab a quick bite to eat and saw Smokepaw and Hawkfrost. Letting out a mew of greeting, the medium furred tom dipped his head respectfully to the queen and grabbed a mouse, sitting down by the apprentice. "Nice night, isn't it?" he commented, taking a bite of the prey.

Briarkit bounded up to the group of cats, not looking for a meal just to say hello. The young kit sat quite close and watched them with wide eyes. He couldnt wait to grow up and be like that, eating with his fellow warriors.
