Sunpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Crowstar jumped up to the tall branch and called out, "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!"

Sunpaw raced out of the apprentices den and to the front of the crowd. Its my warrior ceremony! she thought.

Leafpaw came behind Sunpaw and watched as the she-cat bounced up and down. "Whoa calm down Sunpaw!"

"The time has come for another apprentice to join the warriors. Sunpaw please come forward." The leader said.

Sunpaw stepped forward just like Crowstar had said and waited her eyes shining with pride.

Leafpaw watched as Sunpaw took two steps forward and then turned his gaze to Crowstar.

"I, Crowstar, Leader of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Sunpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Crowstar asked

"I do!" Sunpaw replied solemnly as her voice ringed around camp.

Leafpaw held his gaze on the pair.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Sunpaw, from now on you will be known as Sunblaze, for your strength, and determination to your clan. We welcome you as a full warrior of Skyclan," Crowstar jumped down to greet his new warrior.

As the clan chanted her new name Sunblaze greeted Crowstar and smiled.

Leafpaw chanted. "SUNBLAZE, SUNBLAZE, SUNBLAZE!' as loud as he could.
