Cherrypaw's Warrior Ceremony

Crowstar went up into the tree in the nearby area where they were staying for the time being. He looked down at the creek and called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!"

Cherrypaw padded from her sunning spot to join the cats gathering at Crowstar's call. She nosed her way up to a spot where she wasn't in the way if others and sat down, lifting het head slightly to show she was listening. What could be happening today, anyway?

"The time has come for an apprentice to gain the ranking of a warrior. Cherrypaw please come forward." The black fluffy leader aid looking at the apprentice.

Cherrypaw nosed her way forward, towards Crowstar, determined not to let her diability show too much.

Moonlight joined Cherrypaw, smiling widely as she realized that this was her warrior ceremony. Her daughter had finally proven to the clan that even with her disability she could be just as good as any of them, and that filled the silver-tabby with pride.

"I, Crowstar, Leader of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Cherrypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Crowstar asked

"I do."  the she-cat answered with pride.
