Snowkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardshine leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Snowkit walked tentatively forward from the nursery, her small, half-grown paws making her trip once or twice. She made sure Heavykit was right beside her, so she could lean on her brother for support.
The kit blinked up at Blizzardshine worryingly, wondering what might happen.
War with another clan? I hope they don't. It's stupid.
Her tail trailed a narrow half-inch off the ground as she sat beside Heavykit, waiting for the ceremony to continue.

Sleekpaw settled himself down under the highrock, after a day of hunting. Now what? Apprentice ceremonies again?

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock she decided to go on “Snowkit, please, step forward”.

The fluffy kit with blurred stripes and patches of grey and white wobbled unsteadily forward. Her paws were growing out, but still fragile and smaller than most her age.
Her heart was pounding, beating loudly in her ears, and she looked up at Blizzardshine with wide, mismatched eyes.

Blizzardshine smiled warmly at the young cat “Snowkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Snowpaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentice “Your mentor will be Badgerstrike. I hope he passes down all he knows on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan.

The new, snow-furred apprentice dipped her head shakily, half-heartedly, but her weird eyes still stared up to dart around and see who her mentor was.
She walked over to him slowly, carefully, gingerly touching noses with the tom.
