Twistedkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!"

Twistedkit was practically bouncing with excitement. She was finally an apprentice after many more moons then usual spent in the medicine cat's den. She sat right up front, knowing that this was her apprenticeship day.

Squirrelkit sat next to the rest of the kits, in the back but not too much in the back that they cannot see. She impatiently waited for the ceremony to start.

Willowpaw sat on the other side of Twistedkit and watched her grin. She knew just as much as twistedkit did that she would soon become twistedpaw. She should have become an apprentice before today, but now was just a good time as any.

Sprucepaw smiled as his friend bounded out of the medicine cat den.He was thankful she was OK."How was the medicine cat's den?"he asked jokingly.

"Smelled like mouse dung," Twistedkit shuddered.

Sprucepaw laughed."Well,at least your out now."

"Twistedkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Twistedpaw. Your mentor will be Sandybreeze. I hope she will pass down all she knows on to you." Ashstar nodded at the newly made apprentice and leapt down.

Twistedkit, now Twistedpaw, touched noses with Sandybreeze's nose as her heart blossomed with pride.
