Brindlekit, Willowkit, Halfkit, Spottedkit, and Rippedkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. WindClan's nursery was filling up- it was time to move some kits to the apprentices' den. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" she yowled.

Brindlekit's ears perked at Ashstar's call, her whiskers twitching eagerly as she stepped out of the nursery and out into the main clearing, her soft pelt fluffing against the cool air. Knowing that Ashstar's traditional gathering call usually applied to those who already left the nursery, Brindlekit sat down in the shade of the nursery and eagerly looked up at the she-cat, her tail curled neatly around her small paws.

Rippedkit leapt to his paws, and padded over to the clearing. His eyes were wide with awe as he looked up at the clan leader.

Willowkit bounded out of the nurserey, ears perked, and waited to see what was happening over in the clearing.

Spottedkit bounded over to Rippedkit, grinning. She turned to face him, excitement glowing in her bright hazel eyes.

Halfkit was the last of the bunch to trot from the nursery, he quietly sat a good paw steps away from the other kits but still close enough within the leader's sight. Unlike others, he wasn't as happy for this day to come as he just took it with stride.

Ashstar smiled at the bunch of kits. "Willowkit, Spottedkit, Halfkit, Brindlekit and Rippedkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Willowpaw, Spottedpaw, Halfpaw, Brindlepaw and Rippedpaw. Your mentors will be Falconstone, Nightheart, Lionfur, Emberfall, and Heatherstripe, respectively. I hope they will pass down all they know on to you."

The grey cat gave a nod towards the leader, and his eyes wandering around for the cat ... Lionfur? Pretty sure that was it. Whoever this cat was, he or she was to be training Halfpaw until warriorhood.

Lionfur nodded smoothly as Ashstar called his name. The next step was obviously to mentor his apprentice. He gazed coolly at his apprentice- Halfpaw?- and touched his nose.

Heatherstripe smiled from the crowd, and stepped forward to touch noses with Rippledpaw. It seemed like WindClan was already overflowing with apprentices! "I hope I'll do a good job as a mentor," she purred.

Spottedpaw bounded over to her new mentor, Nightheart, and touched noses. Her bright eyes shone with happiness and determination. She was going to be an awesome warrior!

Brindlepaw's eyes widened as Ashstar called her mentor's name -Emberfall-, anxiety swelling in her chest as she searched for her newly named mentor.

Rippedpaw's eyes glowed with determination as he touched noses with Heatherstripe. "I hope I do you proud as an apprentice," He mewed back in response.

Spottedpaw shot a smirk at Rippedpaw before turning back to her mentor, determined to be the best warrior in WindClan.

Twistedkit looked from the front of the crowd at the newly made apprentices. The falling leaves danced in the air, casting shadows across their pelts. She imagined them as fully grown warriors. They would be so strong! Twistedkit knew that they all would end up as one of the most well-respected figures in the clan when it came to hunting and fighting. She yowled as loud as she can when they called out their new names.

"Brindlepaw! Willowpaw! Halfpaw! Spottedpaw! Rippedpaw!"
