Basking in the Dying Summer's Sun (Open)

Frozenflame lay upon the surface of the highest rock, it's surface rough but flat. The sun shone down, providing some of it's last bit of warmth before leaf-fall and leaf-bare. The deputy looked out over the gushing river, and towards Riverclan's territory. He shook his head as he wondered how they survived without the cover of trees and underbrush, but instead with reeds and bushes. Frozenflame prayed to Starclan in that moment and thanked them for giving him his life he had, and that he was a Thunderclan cat.

Blazingleap stepped out of the treeline, his eyes landing on a cluster of large rocks near the River. There, on top of the boulders, lay the deputy, Frozenflame. The ginger warrior bound over to him, leaping from rock to rock, until he was beside the older tom. "Greetings, Frozenflame," he purred as the pleasing warmth started to soak into his fur from the rock and the sun. Frozenflame was almost a father to Blazingleap, for he was Cloverpool's ex-mate and Cloverpool was Blazningleap's mother. Though Sunpelt was Blazingleap's birth father, the tom still felt a strange connection with Frozenflame.

Blacktwig sauntered over calmly. His paws were soundless, and he nodded to Frozenflame as he approached the sunning deputy. "Hello, Frozenflame," he purred in greeting, sitting down. He gave a swift, brief nod to Blazingleap as well. The two toms always had a connection, despite Blazingleap's birth father. "Hello, Blazingleap," he finished with a tiny smile.
