Let's Get Down To Business (Closed)

Hawkpaw had been... sad. But Wasppaw helped. She almost never left the golden apprentice's side as she mourned for her father. The two were heading out to their little training spot in silence. Hawkpaw was tall and getting taller. With a yawn, Hawkpaw stopped as they reached their location, turning to Wasppaw. "What should we work on today?"

Wasppaw followed along the path with Hawkpaw by his side. While they didn't say anything to each other, the silence wasn't awkward. The brown tom had gotten used to Hawkpaw's company and rather enjoyed it. When they reached their usual training spot the apprentice hummed at Hawkpaw's question. "I'm honestly up for whatever today. I don't have a particular thing in mind." He said to the she-cat.

"Let's just pretend we're in apposing clans and fight as if we're actually battling. We can sit through and talk through what we think the other did wrong after." she nodded. Fighting with Wasppaw was the only way she could forget about her father.

Actually battling? Did she mean actually fight or the safe fighting they used in regular training? "Wait.. Do you mean with claws or not?" He wanted that to be clarified so he didn't do the wrong thing. He didn't want to hurt her, but if that was the kind of training she wanted to do then he wouldn't object. "Other than that issue, the rest sounds good to me." Wasppaw stated.

Hawkpaw laughed, nosing his cheek with her nose. "Silly boy. I meant claws sheathed. You're too close to your ceremony to get hurt." she purred before trotting away to the center of the clearing, crouching and flicking her tail back and forth.

Wasppaw laughed in slight embarrassment. "Oh yeah.. I knew that.." He said. His eyes followed her, and stayed on her when she crouched down preparing for their mini battle. It was time to be serious. The tom clenched his jaw together for a moment. "You ready?" He asked, though he didn't give much time for her to answer as he launched himself at her.

In a split second, Wasppaw would be on her. With the nimble paws of a mouse, Hawkpaw dodged to the side, crashing a sheathed paw to where Wasppaw would land to crash down on his head.
