Breezekit and Thornkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Vixenheart had been put in charge of ceremonies until Crowstar was fully revived. When receiving the news of this, she wasn't in the slightest bit nervous, she was just worried on her leader's behalf, knowing that he was too weak to even do ceremonies. She leaped onto the Tall Branch, looking out amongst the Clan. Even though this wasn't the highest she's ever been on, it still felt odd to be standing on the Tall Branch. She cleared her throat, before calling out the words she had heard so many times before.
"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a Clan meeting!"

Breezekit clambered out of the nursery, shaking moss off of his thin tail. He was very worried about his father- why wasn't he up there, doing his ceremony?- but he was ready to become an apprentice and do Crowstar and Poppysong proud.

Thornkit was next to barge from the nursery. He nearly toppled his brother over to get underneath the Tall Branch. He nudged his brother gently, his eyes gleaming with excitement. They would become apprentices together! ...but who would be the better one?

It didn't take long for Vixenheart to spot out the two kits that would be becoming apprentices today.
"Breezekit and Thornkit, please step forwards." She said, calmly.

The gray tabby kit stepped up smoothly, offering Thornkit a grin. His brother had always been enthusiastic, but Breezekit preferred taking the calm, logical approach to things. That didn't mean he wasn't as excited, or more excited, only that he utilized his energy better. However, his tail-tip twitched with anticipation as he watched Vixenheart on the Tallbranch.

Thornkit pressed against Breezekit, purring audibly. This was so exciting! It wasn't as if they'd be apprentices for long, anyway. They had to enjoy it. He wondered who would mentor him anyway. His eyes widened in thought. Maybe Crowstar will mentor me... He stepped forward as well, craning his neck to watch Vixenheart.

She smiled at down at the two kits, "These kits have reached the age of six moons and it is time for them to be apprenticed. Breezekit and Thornkit, from now until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Breezepaw and Thornpaw. Breezepaw, your mentor will be Fawnsplash, and Thornpaw, your mentor will be Snowstorm. I hope that they will pass their knowledge down to you two."
With that. Vixenheart leaped down from the Tall Branch to end the ceremony.

Breezepaw grinned- he loved his new name! He touched his nose to Fawnsplash's happily, but still keeping a calm facade. Excitement shone from his yellow eyes.

Fawnsplash smiled when she heard Breezepaw would be her apprentice. My first apprentice! she thought to herself cheerfully as she padded over to the excited tom. She reached down and touched noses with him.
