Tinypaw's Warrior Ceremony

Crowstar jumped up onto the Tall Branch and called out. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!"

Tinypaw walked out from the apprentice den, curious as to why his father was calling a meeting. So much was going on between the clans, was something the matter? The small apprentice walked to the branch, eyes wide and curious.

"The time has come for an apprentice to be made into a warrior. Tinypaw please step forward." The father said to his son.

The small white tom stepped forward, realizing what this small gathering of cats was about. I'm going to become a warrior? He could hardly believe that this day had come. All his life he'd been somewhat discouraged from his small body and thought he'd never become a true warrior. His father had faith in him after all! Tinypaw wanted to jump with joy, but reluctantly kept calm.

"I, Crowstar, Leader of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Tinypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Crowstar asked.

"I do," Tinypaw meowed in reply, about to burst with joy.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Tinypaw, from now on you will be known as Tinylegs, for kindness to your clan, and your agility. We welcome you as a full warrior of Skyclan," Crowstar jumped down to greet his new warrior.

To be offended or proud that his biggest insecurity was put into his warrior name, the small tom couldn't decide. Then again, it was better than having no warrior name, right? He knew Crowstar only meant well and not to purposefully embarrass him, so Tinylegs decided he'd just have to make his flaws not seem like flaws, but a value to the clan. The newly named warrior dipped his head in respect to the leader, excited to serve the clan as a true warrior.
