The Silent Night

Jay sat in the dark alone with her knew kit beside her. "I'm sorry but you're the only one." She said licking the kits head. "You're name will be Silent. For the silent night you are born on. In Shadowclan your name will be Silentkit. Your father will take good care of you." Jay said. She smiled with sadness in her eyes. "I would love to help raise you, but I can't. Maybe you'll see me when you're older." Jay whispered.

Silentkit didn't understand the words Jay had spoken. What did she mean? Would her mum be leaving her? Was her mum going to abandon her? Why? Why would she ever do that? Surely her mum would never leave her... right? The black furred kit pulled her self closer to Jay and mewed quietly, hoping that she would stay with her mum.

Jay curled as close to her kit as she could. "Everything will be ok." She whispered. "I love you." Jay looked down at her kit and wrapped her tail around Silentkit. Jay rested her head down on the ground and imagined her kits life in Shadowclan. "You'll be the strongest warrior the clan has ever seen my dear one, You'll make me proud."

Silentkit was still worried about her mothers previous words but was comforted by her mothers warm fur. The black kit tried to form words but couldn't quite pronounce them. finally after a few more attempt she managed to say "Love you too" She then smiled triumphantly and continued to cuddle her mum.

Jay's eyes lit up. She smiled and licked Silentkit on the head. Jay closed her eyes. "In the morning I will take you to Shadowclan. They're actually not that bad." She said drifting into a light sleep

She groaned in complaint before speaking "nooooo... stay..." Silent kit mumbled sleepily. She attempted to show her refusal by waking her mother up. She then found that she to, was tired. The black furred kit curled back up and yawned. within minutes she was asleep.

Ooc: sorry i haven't posted in this for a long time. After this post you can RP in shadowclan camp. Wait about a week then PM the person who plays as the shadowclan leader and tell them your kit is ready to become an apprentice. After that wait and check the apprentices ceremony topic place and once you have posted in it and you have your apprentice name then your mentor will make topics and train you.

Ic: Jay awoke in the morning light and picked up her kit. She took Silentkit through the swampy forest and she left he kit at the entrance to the camp. "I love you." she said and then ran away. She couldn't bare to see her kit upset so she left back to moonclan camp.

She woke with a star and spun around, looking for her mum."Ma?" she mewled nervously. where was her mother? why had she left? the kit cried quietly and wished for her mother to come back."MA!" crying out once more she gave up. she waddled over to a bush and laid under it. face poking out but otherwise hidden.
