Vinekit, Miraclekit, and Wishkit's Apprentice Ceremony

There were so many apprentices now! Darkstar hopped onto her rock and called out,"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!" She couldn't help but think that they were running out of kits, which was strange. Maybe some would be born soon.

Wishkit could tell that this was her apprentice ceremony...along with a few other kits. Her eyes were glowing with happiness, and her pelt was shiny because it was recently groomed. She sat down in front of Nightstar's makeshift Highrock, and smiled, looking around at the other cats gathering around.

Cloverpool padded over behind her daughter. The tortoiseshell warrior purred and sat down.

Lakesong followed and sat down.

Thinstripe sat down next to Lakesong, she knew this was a ceremony.

Miraclekit dashed excitedly forward to stand beside Wishkit; her fur, even though it had been groomed, stood up in some places, and her eyes glowed with excitement. She was finally becoming an apprentice! She would be able to leave this tiny barn and see the world that lay outside of it. She could start training to become a warrior, and before she knew it, she would have an apprentice of her own to train! Miraclekit could see her future laid out in front of her, and she was excited to be moving forward on the path she pictured for herself.

Scorchfrost sat down beside Thinstripe, smiling at Miraclekit scampered up to Darkstar. He felt good knowing that his kin was growing older. He had a growing suspicion that Pepper may be expecting kits, but it wasn't his place to bring it up. Either way, the though exhilarated him.

Frozenflame padded over to the growing crowd of cats and sat down beside Cloverpool. Even though they weren't mates anymore, they could still be friends, right?

Wishkit felt a rush of emotions. Happiness, pride, fear, sadness, and even anger. She had reasons for every single one of them. Fear, pride, and happiness were obvious. She'd soon be leaving her current name, Wishkit, behind, and moving on to be Wishpaw.
She blinked, giggling to herself at the sound Wishpaw. It sounded a little weird to her. Not weird as it bad, but weird as in different.
And one day, my name won't be Wishpaw anymore. She thought, thinking about what was to come in the future. A warrior name, more maturity, and more emotional rushes like now. But, she had to stop thinking on the future and think about now. Would her mentor be rude and mean to her? Or nice and understanding? She glanced at Miracklekit, seeing that she was happy too.
"I'm so nervous...are you?" She asked Miraclekit softly.

Blizzardpaw padded towards the improvised Highrock, her smile more evident than usual. She looked at the three excited kits, understanding the mix of feelings that they felt, after all, it wasn’t that long since she had her own ceremony. She chuckled and her whiskers twitched with happiness as she sat near the three kits…no…no longer kits…not after today. It would be awesome to spend some time with the new apprentices. Who knows? Maybe they could even train and go on patrols together really soon!

Cloverpool smiled at Frozenflame and meowed a greeting.

"I sure do hope so." Wishkit purred, enjoying Vinekit's excitement and confidence. She glanced behind her at her mother, Cloverpool, before looking back up at Nightstar.

Miraclekit wasn't nervous, not really-- she was more excited than anything. "I'm not nervous." She mewed happily, "I bet my mentor is going to be so nice! All of ours will be, for sure. It'll be so fun to train together! Maybe we'll even become warriors at the same time, too."

Wishkit purred at the thought of becoming a warrior. She was about to be one rank close to finally being able to have the most freedom, train her own apprentice, and maybe even become deputy!
"Maybe our mentors will take us all on a territory tour together after this!" She said hopefully.

Miraclekit nodded excitedly. "That would be fun!" She mewed, "Let's ask, okay?" She would love to see the territory, even if it wasn't their home territory. She wondered if, one day, they would return to their actual territory... Then she could see the Thunderpath that all the warriors mentioned, and the river, and even twolegplace!
