3rd meeting of Misty and Jay

Jaybird smiled and nuzzled her back. The moon made his pelt shine.

"i love you...." she wispered

"Me too." he smiled. He now knew what love felt like.

Mistyriver purred. still a little wet she shivered, and pressed her head against him

His eyes widened. "But..this is impossible." he murmured. "You're a Medicine Cat...."

"it is not impossible Jaybird... it is real. but that is what makes this hard" she mewed quietly, "the warrior code... because, i love you, and, you- love me, but why can't this work? it has to.... but how? "

"It has to remain a secret thing." he said. "Because if it ever gets out,you might be demoted from being a medicine cat. I do not want you to stop doing what you love to do."

"Your right... but what about Swift shadow? will he say anything?" Mistyriver sighed, "it's so hard.... i love being a Medicine cat, i love what i do to help my clan. i love my clan.... but i love you. if i had to choose i would choose you... but i can't... what will we do if anyone finds out?"

Jaybird looked up at the stars. "I will protect you.Stay with your clan,continue being a medicine cat." he promised

mistyriver felt comforted. she nodded, "ok. i don't know how this will turn out, but i hope it will" she pressed close to him ,"i just hope so..."

Jaybird smiled. He knew things had to work out. Starclan was watching him.

StarClan help us... she thought, even though she hadn't really been feeling as close to StarClan as normal. it felt almost as if they had left her. she pushed away the thought, and smiled. it will turn out ok in the end...

Jaybird turned to the horizon wistfully as he caught daybreak. He sighed,knowing his day was done today.

Mistyriver looked up at the rising sun, Almost time to return to the Clan, she thought sadly

Jaybird stood up. "I guess I have to leave." he sighed. "Farewell,my love."
