3rd meeting of Misty and Jay

Jaybird stepped up hesitantly. Cautiously,he took a bite. "It's okay." he said.

Mistyriver smiled, "it takes a bit of getting used to" she sat down and took a bite

"Yes." Jaybird said,swallowing. He was uneasily looking at each of the borders,wondering if a cat would appear. As far as he knew,other his brother knew about their meetings.

Mistyriver noticed jaybirds uneasiness, "i hope no one comes.... i don't think anyone will, its practically moonhigh"

"Dusk Patrols" Jaybird pointed out,smiling.

"oh yeah..." she mewed

Jaybirds ears twitched. "You have to teach me how to fish." he said.

Mistyriver smiled, "sure" she walked to the river and sat down, " it takes practice. but when u see a fish, quickly put you paw in like this, and swap the fish up like, this, then kill it. "

Jaybird nodded and concentrated on the water. He spotted a fish swimming by,and when it was under him,swiped in his paw. But the fish was too fast,and darted away.

"its hard, "she mewed, "and takes lots of practice"

"Tell me about it." Jaybird moaned,failing at catching another fish.

"you just need to keep trying" she smiled, "i know you can"

Jaybird smiled and spotted a fish. Eyes gleaming with determination,he swiped his paws under and scooped up the fish,then killed it. "I did it." he beamed.

Mistyriver purred" your a quick learner" she smiled

"one of my best features." He joked,hopping back and forth across the river on the stepping stones.
