The Evening blazes go out

Eveningblaze padded through the forest hunting as she went along. She never heard or scented it, maybe because there was no wind on that day or maybe because she was near some peat. But the next thing she knew was that she was bleeding and now pinned against the ground as a badger stood snarling over her. A a writhing mass of teeth, claws, and fur rolled around on the ground as the sunset colored she cat turned crimson and tried to escape. Eveningblaze knew she was going to die but she would go down fighting. The badger launched towards her and everything slowed down, she felt as if she couldn't move, but knew she had to get she couldn't. The last thing she saw were the badgers teeth and then her blood pooled around her and her glazed over eyes stared wirelessly at nothing.
