Lilykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Crowstar jumped onto the Tall Branch and called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!"

Jayflight padded out of the warriors den and sat down, he looked up at Crowstar happily.

Lilykit stumbled out of the nursery. She skittered up to where Crowstar had called out for the clan. She was much bigger than when she was first born... But her ears were still extremely disproportionate. She shook her head with a huff and sat herself down right in front, sending a toothy grin to Jayflight.

"The time has come to make another kit into an apprentice. Lilykit please step forward." The leader said, his yellow eyes looking down on the kit.

Lilykit nervously scooted forward. Her paws were shaking so much they seemed like they were vibrating. She dreaded the thought of a tough mentor... or a mentor that didn't care at all.

"Lilykit from this moment forward, until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Lilypaw. Your mentor will be Jayflight." The leader said, and then jumped down ending the ceremony.

Lilypaw squealed in delight. She could finally leave camp, and best of all, she could train with her big brother! "Oh, Jayflight, I'm so excited!" she yelled as she bounded up to him, nuzzling his chest. "Ready to put up with me for a few more moons?"

Jayflight stood still An apprentice, already? he thought. He looked down and Lilypaw and touched his nose to hers "Probably, might be tough though" he smiled.
