Stones! (Closed for Felo)

As Falconpaw and Minkpaw became apprentices and trained together, their relationship only grew. They shared a nest together, where they kept their stones after Sablestar kicked Falconpaw out of her den. However, the nights of sleeping on stones began to grow long. The growing apprentice's bones ached from the hard surfaces as well as growing pains. Don't take it wrong, Falconpaw loved their stones. But the nest was growing more and more suspicious.

He had searched every inch of the camp, but no den or hole was hidden as well or big enough for their stash. After pondering for about a week about what to do, Falconpaw brought it up with his mate over a large rabit. "Hey Minkpaw," he suddenly said, as if the idea had just struck him. "Are nest is too big to fill with more rocks. You know those old rabbit holes and tunnels we fall in sometimes? Why don't we find one of those for our collection." he nodded seriously, as his stones was a very serious matter.

Minkpaw had been eating the rabbit, each bite juicy and delicious. Since her and Falconpaw had been keeping the stones under their nest, her body ached each morning from the hard surface, and she could tell he was aching too. When he brought up this little problem, her ears perked. She listened intently, twitching her whiskers in thought. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea!" She mewed, smiling slightly. "But how are we gonna move all of 'em?" She squeaked, thinking of their large pile. It'd take way too long to carry them all- they had over ten now!

"We'll just have to move them one by one until their away. That's only five trips." The young apprentice concluded before taking a large bite of the rabbit and chewing. He shoved the rest to Minkpaw to let her know he was finished. "If we find the tunnel or hiding spot today, we can start moving them tomorrow. We should probably hold off on getting any more before we have them all in the new spot." As much as he loved his rocks, Falconpaw loved his sleep as well.

"Hm. Well, okay. I guess five trips isn't that bad." As he pushed the rabbit to her, she quickly ate the rest of the meat. "Well, let's go look then, shall we?" She purred, a smile on her face.

"Let's do it!" Falconpaw said happily, standing quickly. He was very tall already, and looking much like his father. "We should make it away from where cats usually go." He thought as they started to pad out into the hills.

"Okay." She purred. She got up and padded beside him. "How about over there, behind that dip in the ground?" She asked as they ran farther. A small, sandy dip in the ground came into view, and under it, as she inspected, had a pocket of sand in it. "We can dig this sand out and keep them in here?" She suggested.

Falconpaw inspected the hole very carefully, testing the roof with his paw. It crumbled slightly and he quickly backed out of the tunnel. Shaking his head, he cleared the sand out of his fur. "No, too close and too unstable. I was thinking something at the very edge of the territory or by the gorge. Then we won't have cats snooping." he began to trot off, heading towards the gorge.

She watched as it crumbled beneath his paws, and she flattened her ears against her head. "Yeah, somewhere farther should work!" Minkpaw chirped.

Falconpaw traveled in content quiet until they reached the very edge of the territory. "How about this hole?" Falconpawotioned with his tail to a whole under a large tree. It was spacious, and they could put moss and spend time in there.

"Sure." She chirped, examining it. It seemed fit, and well enough for the two. Her gaze swept to Falconpaw, and waited for his reply, gazing fondly at him.

Falconpaw exited the den again, eyeing the sun to judge the time of day. "We can probably get one trip of stones in before it gets too dark." he concluded with a nod to his mate.
