Like a moth drawn to a flame{closed}

Maplepaw was sitting at the camp entrance, grooming herself and clearing the grass pieces from her claws and paws

FlameKit was sitting by the nursery, watching as warriors went out to hunt, when he saw an apprentice by the entrance. She was grooming herself, and seemed unaware of the little kit, watching from his spot. He called it his spot, as it was a nice spot by the nursery that had a good view of most of the camp, and the entrance, so he could watch for as long as he wanted.

He felt strangely drawn to this She-Cat, unknown to him. He padded confidently over, sitting close by. "Hey, What's your name?" He asked, trying to sound like an apprentice - not a little kit. He knew his apprentice ceremony would be soon, as he was 6 moons old, but he didn't really want others to know he was still just a kit.

"Hi.. i'm Maplekit!... I mean Paw!Hey do you like to run around?" She was a very energetic cat and loved to run around

FlameKit smiled when she spoke, and immediately said "That's a cool name, and yeah, I love to run around!" He let out a small purr. He already liked this energetic Apprentice. He felt drawn to her, though he didn't know why.

"Catch me if you can!" Maplepaw shouted and started racing around camp, she still acted like a kit even though she was about seven moons.

FlameKit jumped to his paws and mewed "Yes I can!" And began to chase her around camp. She was fast, and so was FlameKit, but she was probably faster. "Hey, wait up!" He yelled, pausing to catch his breath before continuing to run.

Maplepaw halted as he mewed "what?"

FlameKit was still running when MaplePaw stopped, and he crashed into her back. They landed in a bundle of wriggling fur, and FlameKit got off and said "Ooops, sorry"

"that's okay, hey you didn't tell me your name" she said bouncing up

"Oh! My name is FlamePaw!" He said. He had only just become an apprentice, and already he loved it way more than being a kit. He hadn't yet seen his mother SpiderFur - he hadn't seen her at the ceremony, but maybe she was just not in his view at the time? He wasn't really sure, but he wanted to see her to tell her the good news, even if she already knew.

"hopefully we can train together.. i'm gonna go take a nap" she said yawning
