The First Kill (Closed)

Lionpaw excelled at training. Of course, she had. Her father was a great warrior and her size brought her great ease in tackling her fellow apprentices. But with every act of practiced aggression, something boiled in her that she just couldn't contain anymore. The feeling drove her to the brink of insanity every night as she fought to not sink her teeth into the blood of her denmates. She had realized something -- she was blood thirsty.

The young apprentice had carefully thought out her plan. She would go at night, and alone. She couldn't attack ThunderClan; they would point paws at RiverClan first. She couldn't attack SkyClan; they were her allies. She couldn't attack WindClan; they had speed, which was her weakness. Her only other option was ShadowClan. This held multiple advantages, she realized. They didn't share borders, so RiverClan would be the last of their thoughts. However, getting there would be more difficult.

On one lowly lit night, Lionpaw left camp. Stopping at the edge of the river, she rolled around in a thick layer of nasty mud. The dirt covered her beautiful golden pelt and plastered it to her fur. It was a little harder to move, but after the mud dried it was more uncomfortable than anything. With the mud covering her scent and her appearance, Lionpaw headed off once more. Careful to not enter any other clan territory, she slid through the center of Four Trees and into ShadowClan territory where she waited and settled down into a pile of ShadowClan mud as well.

At about moonhigh, nobody had come along. With a silent step she moved deeper inward, but careful to note landmarks so she could make a quick getaway. Once more, she crouched down to wait, covered with mud so dark her pelt looked black.

Pinepaw was out, as most of ShadowClan was very uptight, she couldn't stay in camp any longer, between the attempted murder of her leader and proof that what Thinstripe had said was true. There was something big coming up and, from what she could gather, it was an inside job. So far she had failed at her plan to keep Eaglefeather away from the cat in question, she had recently had Webtail's kits, her fate was surely sealed.

Pinepaw kicked a stone, sighing as she looked up at the empty sky, things were going downhill foo fast for her liking. She decided to go hunting, perhaps it would take her mind off all the horrible happenings.

Little did Pinepaw know, Lionpaw was hunting toi. As her prey approached her, Lionpaw had to control herself. The cat coming to her was a female, and about apprenticed age. Lionpaw was still slightly bigger than her, despite her recent apprenticeship.

The cat kicked a stone. It nearly hit Lionpaw in the head. As the cat neared, it became clear she was going to walk right next to Lionpaw's hiding spot. As quietly as a snake would worm, she twisted around. Pinepaw was in reach now. Silently she swiped the paws out from under the cat and lept ontop before she could react.

Her prey struggled, just as a bird or fish would. It was kind of fun, Lionpaw noted, to watch the she-cat struggle as Lionpaw remained in control. So so fun. A dark laugh escaped her lips as she stared straight into Pinepaw's eyes. Her deep, rich blue seemed to stare straight into the about-to-be-killed soul. The last eyes this cat would ever see.

Pinepaw coughed at the sudden weight on her, she squirmed as she stared into the other's eyes, her own amber ones wide in fear, she struggled to move and the other cat was heavy with mud.

Lionpaw was at a thrilled state of mind. A real true cat, at mercy with her! With a proud purr, Lionpaw could not wait any longer. Sinking her dagger-sharp claws into the flesh of the ShadowClan cat, she leaned down. Her long teeth tore into the flesh of Pinepaw's neck, blood seeping instantly into her mouth. The iron tang only drove her on more, causing her to thrash her head side to side. A loud rip escaped as the flesh tore from the cat's neck, causing blood to spurt into her eyes and face. Blinking away the drops, she stood back to watch the cat bleed to death.

Pinepaw let out a choked cry, her mouth flooding e
with her own blood. Convulsions racked her body as she curled into herself once Lionpaw stood back, she looked pitiful.

Webtail was out, he felt like being productive and the idea of hunting appealed to him at the moment. The heavy scent of blood assaulted his senses and sent him running towards the smell and Pinepaw's cry.

OoC: Thrushstar really isn't enforcing the no-leaving-camp-without-your-patrol-leader thing well xD

Lionpaw slammed the body with her paw for good meassure and to speed up the process. She was tired now and wanted to return home.

Pinepaw soon was reduced to shivers and then, nothing. The apprentice felt her life slip away and now, she was in the hands of the now in charge, Dark Forest.

Webtail skidded to a halt, standing among the ferns before yowling and throwing himself at the mud covered murderer, claws unsheathed as adrenaline fueled his strength to a vicious level.

Ooc: It hasn't even been mentioned after the first time

OoC: So we don't have to use the battle system:

-Webtail can injure her once
- She'll scar his nose

Lionpaw let out a breath of air as she felt a thud from behind her. She was so stupid to get lost in the moment! She didn't even hear the yowl the cat on her let out before they attacked. Growling, she turned to her back and desperately tried to shake off the attacker.

Ooc: Perfect also, mobile so, bleh.

Webtail growled and let all of his weight rest on Lionpaw, the rather large apprentice streaked his fur with blood and mud, claws digging into her pelt, threatening to tear fur.

With a high pitched yowl Lionpaw felt claws tear through skin for the first time. It burned like nothing she had felt before. With a new wave of rage, Lionpaw stood up, carrying the warrior with her. The weight was too much, so they fell sideways with the warrior falling on his spine. Hopefully he would let go then.

Webtail grunted as he hit the ground, he was stubborn l though and held his ground, quickly rolling to his feet to see who he attacked.

With a flash in hopes of being able to get away, Lionpaw swiped her front paw, long and sharp claws fully extended. Sastisfaction raged through her when she made contact with the warrior's face, scoring deep above the warrior's nose. Using that second, Lionpaw fled, running as fast as she could being dragged down by mud and a large body.

Webtail felt blood run into his eyes, pain seared through them as if the blow had been directed at them. He shook his head to get it out and glared at the empty space the apprentice had been in. Webtail growled before remembering with a slight gasp why he had attacked in the first place rushing to Pinepaw's limp form. He had a long night ahead of him, and a clan to face with the corpse of his mate's sister.
