Foxpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Sablestar stood atop the Tallrock. "Let all those cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Sablestar yowled.

Foxpaw walked out into the clearing, fully grown. Although he was taller than average he was no wear near as tall as his beloved mentor, Kestrelstorm. 'I wonder if this is my ceremony?' He thought to himself, letting a smile slip onto his face.

Sablestar stared down at the lone apprentice. She cleared her throat before speaking. "I, Sablestar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Foxpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Kestrelstorm shown. His best friend, and his apprentice, was becoming a warrior. He beamed at the young tom, almost shaking from pure happiness. The tom had grown to be nice and tall and strong with a good head on his shoulders. Kestrelstorm couldn't be prouder. Falconkit squirmed next to him, not wanting to sit with his father or see the ceremony. Kestrelstorm, however, insisted that the kit sit with him. After all, he had been begging Sablestar to make Foxpaw Falconkit's mentor when he apprenticed since even before his birth.

Foxpaw looked up proudly with pride and joy, "I do Sablestar." He said with a smile.

Sablefur straightened herself. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your warrior name. Foxpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Foxflight. We welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." She then hopped down to congratulate the new warrior.

Foxflight dipped his head to Sablestar, "Thank you, you can count on me to protect this clan with my life." He said before joining the others
